The item is cylindrical in shape and finely hand-painted in polychrome and gold. It features seven colors of birds amidst a dense gold foliate ground, along with thistle leaves...

Amazing "Queen Anne" amethyst paste necklace and earrings set in gilt metal. This style of jewelry has been historically misnamed for Queen Anne, who reigned from 1695 to 1714, as it was made in the mid 18th century. The vivid purple paste stones used are faceted as rose cuts. The earrings have back to front fittings and fit close to the earlobe. The necklace is fastened with a ribbon.

A fine naïve folk portrait profile of a gentleman, signed on the reverse by the artist Samuel Rowell. In the same hand is the location of Amesbury, Mass, and the name of the sitter, Moses Henderson.

The painting is on card, done in watercolor with gum arabic highlights, and is in the original gilded wood frame. An additional piece of glass has been put on the back to protect the written information.

The condition of the painting is excellent, with no folds, tears, or staining...

A Sterling Silver Pierced Nut or Bon Bon Spoon by R. Wallace & Sons in the "Princess Pat" pattern of 1914. It is 4.5" in length and has a monogram "D" in script.

A beautiful Spode porcelain plate painted with a variety of motifs. The pattern number is not listed in any of the Spode pattern books, nor have I been able to find examples of the decoration. A reasonable assumption might be that this was produced as a "one-off" sample for a larger service that was not completed.

The decoration on the plate includes an exotic bird, shells and feathers, and fruits, an interesting combination to say the least...

Parian group of a baby being roused by a puppy. Modelled c 1890 by Rowland James Morris (1842 – 1898), engraver and sculptor. R J Morris was born in Staffordshire and is known to have worked as a modeller to more than one porcelain manufacturer. He became especially well known for the Dainty White service and for Parian groups with children and dogs, one of them the immensely popular “Can’t you talk?” His models were all sold to Shelley & Wileman in 1896...

A large cotton pieced log cabin quilt that is slightly asymmetrical with nine rows to the height as in the picture and eight rows of squares wide all surrounded by a red border. The radiating dark and light bands (barn raising) from the center are not actually centered in the quilt, but start in the lower center as per the pictures. This porcelain tea caddy was produced in Germany by KPM, Royal Berlin, around 1870. It is unmarked. The porcelain blank features the lid with snowdrops and the bottom has the typical legs that were designed by KPM. The piece is 7 inches high, including the lid. The ground is rich cobalt blue. There is a scenic reserve of a couple in a landscape on the front. The figural painting is high quality and very similar to that of Meissen. The intricate gilding is delicate...

One is very old, dated to 1710, carved on the top of the board together with the letters ALRS - the initials of the carver himself - or the one he was devoted to show his carving skills? - 58 cm.

Very unusual Victorian sterling silver grapefruit spoon with a wonderful plique-a-jour enamel assymetrical handle decorated in six shades of translucent enamel. It is quite unusual for plique-a-jour enamel to have been used on a grapefruit spoon, as it was so fragile that it was usually reserved for more delicate pieces like demitasse spoons. The back is marked with Imperial Austrian marks in use 1866-1922.

Victorian Classical sterling silver porringer. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Bowl has curved sides and rim applied with bold beading. Leaf-mounted open scroll handle with scallop shells.
