The deeply concave base has a rough pontil and a basal ring showing the expected wear. Hyacinth vases, sometimes called tulip vases or bulb vases, were used to force flowering bulbs for wintertime blooms indoors. This fine Ruby Block goblet was made by several manufacturers during the 1880s and beyond. It features hexagonal blocks surrounded by diamond "cuts", but it is pressed glass of course, made in 4 parts, the bowl being fused to the stem.

Known by many names and made by many companies, this goblet is unusual because the top is ruby stained, a reversal of the usual placement. Souvenir of Lewistown, PA is faintly scripted...

This is a sparkling 19th Century American Brilliant period cut glass bowl in an intricate sixteen point hobstar motif with skillfully executed deep miter cuts. Condition: several very tiny chips on the rim edge; barely noticeable. Measurement: 4" high x 8" diam.

Very rare, dating circa 1820, American cut lead crystal wash basin and water pitcher set. Possibly by Bakewell Glass of Pittsburgh, the set is in excellent condition. The bowl measures 7.5" high x 16.25 diameter. The pitcher measures 12.5 inches high. Both in excellent condition.

A very well-cut low bowl in an unidentified pattern. The cutting is deep, sharp and precise. The pattern comprises three panels of star- and diamond-cut cane, divided by elongated loops enclosing flashed fans and strawberry diamond, alternating with hobstars. The blank is heavy and very clear.

Origin: America, ca. 1890. Condition: excellent, a 1/32" fleabite on the inside edge of one tooth. Size: 7-1/4" diameter; 2" high.

A beautiful hyacinth bulb vase by the Boston & Sandwich Glass Company, decorated in opaque overlay cut to clear in in a panel and trailing vine design. The top is enhanced with a cobalt blue lip and the bottom is slightly footed and star-cut. The overall form is very elegant. The shape was blown in the company's #123 mold and the cutting is identical to known labeled pieces...

This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor rubbing to the thick gilt edge which appears about 90% intact. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use...

A lovely pair of hyacinth vases in teal blue glass. The classic shape is slightly conical with a widely flaring rim for resting the bulb over the water. These vases are especially attractive because of their rich color. Forcing hyacinths and other bulbs to bloom indoors was something of a Victorian passion that continued well into the 20th century.

A large, signed, Steuben gold Aurene bowl - it is 9 3/4 inches wide and 4 inches tall. Fine condition. Polished pontil. Signed, 'Aurene 2851'.

Beautiful 12 inch tall rose pattern signed “Locke Art” vase. The vase has a rayed pattern on the underside of the foot and an etched dentil pattern on the rim. The vase is 4 1/4 inches in diameter at the base and top while the main body is 2 7/8 inches in diameter. This rare form is in wonderful condition.

A set of five Victorian cranberry glass fingerbowls of compressed form with waisted rim. Raised on a tapered foot with polished pontil. Condition is good - varying slightly from bowl to bowl.
