A Silver (Continental) Quill Dip Pen with a Silver Filagree Feather End and a Filigree Body. There is a mark on the pen that we cannot identify, but appears to be European. Dimensions; pen 8.25" ling, with quill 9". Excellent condition.

Japonesque sterling silver inkwell. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1882. Drum form with curved shoulder, short neck, and hinged and cork-lined bayonet cover. Leaves and tendrils and butterflies, too, applied to honeycomb hand-hammered ground. Bonus bug (a modish beetle) on cover. Interior glass lined. Fully marked including pattern no. 6771 (first produced in 1882), director’s letter M (1873-91), and phrase “Sterling-Silver”...

A Pair of Sterling Silver Baby Spoons, by Wm. Durgin Co. Each 4.25" in length.

Pair of German silver birds, ca 1920. A rooster and hen with downturned wings and flamboyant flouncy tails. The rooster has a shaggy crown and raised talon and looks down while the hen, who has a small trim crown and scaly wattles, looks up. Cawing beaks suggest a barnyard tiff. Marked. Very good condition Gilt wash traces.

Victorian sterling silver mustard pot. Made by George Frederick Pinnell in London in 1844. Round with open scrollwork sides and spread base with applied leafing scrollwork. Hinged and domed cover with vasiform finial leaf thumb rest. Capped s-scroll handle. Open bottom. Detachable cobalt glass liner. Fully marked. Very good condition. Glass has a few rim chips.

This antique custom made two-person saddle is exquisite and the craftsmanship is finely executed, with the metal work and incising of the brass and silver, over a wood frame with iron supports. The front section is with silver open work over copper and brass, added after the silver, brass and silver are finely etched with a scrolled detail, and the finely crafted finial is dome-shaped with delicate spires that are alternating with a braided effect, and a brass bead at the top...

A classic sterling silver wine coaster with a turned mahogany base. The walls are simply decorated with vertical piercing and the front is engraved with the crest and motto of Scotland's Melville clan, an ancient family from whom author Herman Melville was descended. This is a rare Victorian sterling diner’s napkin hook with a patent date of 1879. A real conversation starter! Diner’s napkin hooks have been in existence since the 17th century, but were all the rage during the Victorian era. To keep from spilling food on their finery, gentlemen simply attached their napkin to the clip on one end and then put the small hook over the top of their collars. Condition: excellent. Measurement: 2 _ in. long.

A Pair of Sterling Candlesticks by Dominick and Haff with an Extensively Chased Design. They are 11" high and weigh 16.5 ounces each (33 ounces total)and are unweighted. From the early 1900's and in excellent condition. Note that there are a matching pair pair of tazzas available (Item number 1417).

Turn-of-the-century cut-glass perfume bottle with sterling silver stopper. Globular with short and faceted neck and shoulder, and everted rim. Star, fern, and diaper ornament. Globular stopper with dense repousse-style flowers and ferns on stippled ground. Marked “Sterling” with stamp for James R. Armiger Co., a Baltimore maker that began working under that name in 1896. Very good condition with deep patina.

English George III era Old Sheffield silver plated meat dome cover with robust gadrooned border and removable cast acanthus leaf-form handle. The cover is adorned with a full armorial engraved into a plaque of solid sterling silver which has been let into the cover in order to prevent any underlying copper from showing through the engraved family armorial. Circa 1810-1820. Size: 14 1/2 in. length x 10 1/2 in. depth x 8 1/2 in. ht. Sterling silver fused over copper; tinned interior.
