A French carving set; knife and fork with silver handles, beautifully engraved and crafted. Made in Paris in the 1880’s, in the classicist Louis XVI style so much “en vogue” at the time. The fork made of ivory or bone, the sharp steel blade of the knife marked Paris. Minerva head hall mark and maker’s mark of a bird, possibly, and E. Length of knife "13¼/ 33,5 cm. Condition: the little knob of the fork seems to be replaced, otherwise fine.

Six elegant Victorian fruit or desert knives with mother of pearl handles and sterling silver ferules with triple-banded decoration in a vine motif. The scimitar-shaped blades are silverplate and are marked "A. Stinnells Co., Inc." American, circa 1890. Excellent condition; one blade has a very small spot of wear to the plating. 6" long.

A Nut Dish With Handle, in Sterling Silver. Made by Gorham for Udall & Ballou, a New York City Jeweler, in the early 1900's. It measures 4.5" long x 2.5" deep x 2.5" high to the handle.

Large turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau glass vase with silver overlay. Made by Alvin in Providence. Ovoid with short inset neck and flared rim; foot round and gently raised. Rim to foot overlay with cutout scrolled reveals heightened with engraving. Glass is green. Fully marked and numbered V668/4. Very good condition.

A very nice sterling silver pincushion and sewing box by Tiffany & Co. The pierced sterling silver walls enclose a sewing box (or jewelry box) with two hinged tops that serve as pincushions. The current dark purple velvet is a replacement, but is placed over the original box structure. The pierced handle has an area that can be monogrammed (never been monogrammed). The whole is raised on bun feet. The bottom is marked with the Tiffany hallmark in use 1902-07.

Fully marked including maker's and retailer's (Brand-Chatillon) stamps, and Reed & Barton date symbol. Dominick & Haff was consolidated with Reed & Barton in 1928...

Boxed French Silver 5 piece Serving Set;13.7 Troy ounces total. Consists of a Carving Knife (12.5" marked Paris Acier Fondu), Carving Fork (11"), Salad Set (silver with ivory bowl and tines), both Fork and Spoon 11", and a Cake Server (11.25"). All silver stamped with the French Minerva mark as well as an axe in a diamond and the initial AH-presumably maker. Late 19th century. In original blue silk lined presentation box. Excellent condition.

A Georgian Sterling Silver Tea Set by Samuel Hennell (son of Robert). Hallmarked London, 1812/1815. It is of fluted design, stands on ball feet, and has gadroon detailing to the rims. The teapot is marked 1812 and the sugar and creamer 1815, all of identical design. The sugar bowl and cream jug have gilded interiors. Total weight 34.7 Troy ounces. Excellent condition.

Edwardian Classical water pitcher. Made by Redlich in New York, ca 1890. Clear cut-glass with bead-and-reel bands on bowl and brilliant star on underside; Neck faceted and notched with reeded bands. Sterling silver collar with helmet mouth and applied leafing scroll and beaded rim. Silver-mounted horn handle. A beautiful big game-era piece. Classical coin silver christening mug. Made by Tifft & Whiting in North Attleboro, Mass., ca 1850. Straight and tapering sides with beaded rims. Three names and 3 birthyears (1851, 1877, and 1908) engraved in leafing scrolled frame. Leaf-capped s-scroll handle. Maker’s stamp and phrase “Pure Silver Coin”. Good condition with attractive period wear and nicely sunk engraving.
