A large sterling silver trophy goblet for the Victoria Hotel Wolverton Billiard Handicap. London, 1901. by Robert Pringle and Sons. Size: 11 inches ht. Weight: 15.5 Troy ounces. "Won for the first time by Mr. H.S. Dunleary, December 1901." The with subsequent winners names in Jan. and Mar. 1904. Excellent condition.

Constructed of hand hammered brass, and fastened together with metal pegs, this vase is hexagon in shape, with wide lip and base. It measures 8" high, 5 7/8" across at widest point, and the base is 4 1/8" across. Signed on the base with a conjoined W W mark, with another line that could be an F. The bottom of the interior of the vase has a thin layer of cement to keep it from tipping. A renaissance bronze figure, Italian, Venice, and in a superb style with the stylistic hallmark of the Roccatagliata workshop, c. 16th.- early 17th. century.

The figure is made of bell metal and depicts a Cupid with spread wings holding a scroll with the portrait bust of Christ. He is standing on a stepped podium and mounted to a heavy black base.

Size: 15 cm. tall including the black stone base and 10,4 cm. for the figure alone.

A beautiful enameled silver patch or pill box by Nicholai Alexeyev. The hinged box is fully covered with enamels worked in shades of opaque white, aqua, periwinkle and royal blue, accented with translucent red and green. The cover and bottom are worked in a stylized starburst pattern, while the sides feature floral banding flanked by traditional triangular and dotted patterns. Tall turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau glass decanter with engraved silver overlay. Globular bowl with cylindrical neck and everted rim. Stopper concave with faceted neck. Dense overlay. A massive and exceptional early European Pewter Stein, Hamburg, Germany, dated 1776 on the front, but probably made c. 1750.

Profusely decorated over the entire surface with two flanking Lions on either side of a crest of a crowned Bulls head with crossed hatches in the mouth. The body with deeply incised text: GEORG WENCH. V. NICKEL. LEISTER.DIE.SEYN.DER.ZEIT.DIE ELTER.MEISTER. and on the other side: PETER VOLBART.V.JVST.SCHMICHING.DER.ZEIT.DIE.ALT.GESELLEN.SIND...

Pewter plate, of variety apparently used for special occasions like Purim or Passover etc., 9 3/8" diameter, and filled with incised design consisting of Hebrew characters and an eight pointed star that reminds of the "hex" symbols of American folk art . On the reverse are three "angel/justice" symbols as often seen in these plates, and some writing above that in Roman letters, difficult to decipher. I see the word "FEIN" below one of those angel figures...

Exquisite pierced sterling silver bride’s basket vase by Frank W. Smith. The basket flares out from a narrow base decorated with scrolling acanthus leaves. The sides are decorated with an intricate pierced motif and the upper border repeats the decoration at the foot. The handles is pierced and heavily decorated with scrolls and foliate designs that elaborate on the simpler foot and lip rims. The basket retains its original silverplate liner...

Pretty Edwardian inkwell. Made by Foster & Bailey in Providence, ca 1910. Rectangular clear glass base with chamfered corners, wraparound acid-etched garland, and star cut to underside. Ovalish well with short neck in sterling silver collar with hinged and domed cover. Cover top has enameled flower basket and garland on white wavy and chevron ground with ornamental blue lunettes. Fully marked. Very good condition with strong color.

Antique 18th-century European gilt-bronze figure of a seated Ottoman Turk. The figure depicts a nobleman from the Turkish Ottoman era, seated in the Turquerie or "Turkery" fashion. He is sitting on a square cushion with his legs crossed. The nobleman is wearing an exquisite ensemble of Turkish clothing, which includes a long-sleeved shirt, a vest, and loose-fitting trousers.
