This slithering 18K gold snake ring with diamond eyes is a delight to wear. The snake motif, in this case, a snake eating it tail, an ouroboros, was first popularized in Victorian jewelry as a symbol of eternal life and eternal love. Queen Victoria's engagement ring was a snake. Our snake ring can be worn with the snake head looking down or up, whatever you prefer. The ring is hallmarked London, 1904. Fabulous chunky 18K and diamond-studded lover's knot ring hallmarked London, 1919. Unusual knot ring with three gold diamond-shaped squares superimposed along the knot band and table-cut diamonds embedded securely within the incised stars on each square. The figural knot can be seen on the underside of the ring and is almost as beautiful as the front. The ring is a US size 8 and can be sized.

A Victorian Era Meat Fork, with Silver Bands and a Horn Handle. Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1864 by Harrison Bros, and Howson. Dimensions; length 9.5" x 1.625 width at the tines. Excellent condition.

Turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau glass vase with engraved silver overlay. Elongated baluster with flared rim and raised foot. Overlay in form of budding and blooming tulips with entwined and whiplash tendrils. On foot is scrolled cartouche engraved with scroll-letter C between the years 1880 and 1905. Glass is green. Silver has faint marks including La Pierre maker's stamp. Very good condition.

Five early paper dolls dressed in crepe paper dresses. When I bought them I was told they were made to hang on the Christmas tree and it is true some of the have thread hangers on the back. They are very nice and unusual. They range in size from 7 1/2" to about 10" and date to the 1880's.

Superb Georgian sterling silver swing-handle basket. The bottom of the basket is formed of a silver sheet stamped and pierced in an intricate grapevine motif. The sides, constructed of interwoven silver wire, rise from the base and are decorated with grape cluster appliqués. The rim suggests grape vines, as well. The swing handle is decorated at the top with another cluster of grapes and foliage. The whole is raised on acanthus leaf feet...

A set of three pink luster English porcelain tea saucers. The steeply angled sides are decorated with underglaze pink luster decoration as well as green and iron red flowers. In the first part of the 19th century, hot tea was poured from the cup into the saucer to cool before being drunk directly from the saucer. The bottoms are marked with decorators’ numbers.

Origin: England, ca. 1830. Condition: very good, normal wear to pink luster decoration; no chips or cracks...

A pair of tall beautiful Bohemian art glass vases decorated (most probably by acid etching) with pastoral scenes. Each vase is 13 3/4 inches (35 cm) tall and 5 3/4 inches (14,5 cm) wide at the widest. Overall, the vases are in good condition (there are some flea-bites on rims and a tiny flea-bite on the body of one vase). Unsigned - attributed to Beyermann of Haida based on decor and shape.

Copeland Spode: six small blue and white cups and saucers and a milk jug, a part toy tea service. All transfer-printed in the Italian pattern, early 20th century. Height of the little jug:/ "1 ¾ / 4,3 cm, of the cups: 2 ¼"/5,5 cm, diam. of saucers: 4"/10,5 cm. All marked Copeland Spode´s Italian England. Condition: one saucer with a discreet star crack, otherwise fine.

This neo-classically inspired porcelain pitcher is magnificent in its grace and, dare I say, grandeur. It expands as it rises from its gilded circular foot then recedes to give rise to a towering helmet style beaker. The base of the handle is anchored in a shield from which it serpentinely shoots up and then down to attach to the rim. A superior example of Staffordshire pottery owing to a couple of factors such as the gorgeous apple green enameling, the generous gilding, and the excellent condition of the creamer. This one is painted with apple green around the body with light yellow reserves of gold framed embellishments, the neck which is decorated with swagging leaves. The large helmet shaped mouth has gold leaf as does the attached two part handle. The creamer sits on four gold decorated feet. The underside is unmarked...

A set of twelve Dutch delft wall tiles of a hand painted blue basket of fruit inside a square with a white square behind it at 45 degrees with the same orientation as the tile with its manganese ground. An extremely fine and rare friendship wine glass, or goblet, of Newcastle light baluster (NLB) type with its original cover, superbly engraved c1760 by Jacob Sang, the master engraver from Amsterdam. A superb oil on canvas American folk art painting depicting a man orating about temperance. He is standing beneath trees which are arching to almost form a bower over him. A courting couple is on either side of him, with a church in the background. The symbolism of the couples probably reflects the belief that marital and family relations improve in temperance households. Note also that the orator is holding a bottle in his left hand, probably just after having poured the contents on the ground...
