This porcelain plate was produced in England by Brownfield’s China between the 1870s and 1880s. It was made especially for Tiffany in New York. It is artist signed “Hartmann” and titled “The Lark”. A lovely European bronze Sun dial, carved in a fine renaissance style and dated 1635, but Victorian, English manifacture of the late 19th. century.

The sun dial very elaborate with engraved birds on either side of a Griffin center shade, with a brass spike, othervise in bronze. Inscribed with Roman numbers and dated 1635. Finely patinated in red and dark bronze and in perfect condition.
