Folk Art Duck Decoy hand carved from wood with yellow eye created from a thumb tack. The bird is painted black with white highlights and a grey bill. It has a leather strap on the base used for pulling the decoy in the water.
CONDITION: signs of wear on leather and on the base of the decoy. The yellow thumb tack is probably a later replacement.

This chrome and wood kettle on a stand was produced in Meridan, Connecticut by Manning and Bowman with a patent date of 1904. The kettle and stand together are 12 1/2 inches high. The kettle, from spout to end is 11 inches. The kettle has a rosewood handle and knob. There is a rosewood fitting in the base of the stand which holds an alcohol burner to keep the kettle hot. This glass vase was produced in Kamenicky Senov, Bohemia by Josef Ahne in the late 19th century. The glass studio was in production from 1830 until 1909. This is one of the earlier pieces. The vase is 10 1/4 inches high and 8 inches wide. The opaline glass is hand blown with a polished bottom. The vase is signed Ahne and there is the number 5 on the bottom. This is a superbly rendered watercolor on paper attributed to Henry Walton. The name of the sitter, John Andrew Jenny, is written in pencil at the top of the painting, in penmanship not unlike Walton's.

Large vase by Roger Guerin, circa 1920, offered in excellent condition. This vase measures 7 1/4" in height and 7" at its widest. An impressive bulbous vase with horizontal striations on the bottom 2/3 of the vessel. It is signed "Guerin" and inscribed "M 30" for form and size. A magnificent sterling silver claret spoon by Dominick & Haff. This example is strikingly decorated in a pattern representing three different varieties of chrystanthemums. The decoration appears to be loosely based on Dominick & Haff's "#10" pattern, though this is much more ornate. The area around the flowers is intricately pierced in the rococo style. The back bears Dominick & Haff's hallmark and the pattern number "32".

A nice coin silver rattail spoon by John Brown, active in Baltimore from 1799, after apprenticing in Philadelphia. The bowl is rather narrow, suggesting it was to be used as a pap spoon. The spoon must have been an early piece from Brown's shop, as the design is quite clearly drawn from late 18th century styles. The three-letter monogram in a bright-cut cartouche is also characteristic of the period. The back is marked with Brown's punch.

A pair of elegant Art Nouveau enameled Bohemian glass bowls with floriform decoration. The petals of a vivid pink flower curl up the sides and are interspersed with green tendrils.
