A very well-cut low bowl in an unidentified pattern. The cutting is deep, sharp and precise. The pattern comprises three panels of star- and diamond-cut cane, divided by elongated loops enclosing flashed fans and strawberry diamond, alternating with hobstars. The blank is heavy and very clear.

Origin: America, ca. 1890. Condition: excellent, a 1/32" fleabite on the inside edge of one tooth. Size: 7-1/4" diameter; 2" high.

This is a wonderful early glass sugar bowl, in a deep cobalt blue color, from Scotland or Northern England. It is delightfully gilded with the saying "Be Canny with the Sugar". The rim is also gilded.

The bowl is on a stem with two flattened knops, above a folded foot with a rough, snapped pontil. It stands 4 1/8" tall and is 4 5/8" in diameter. The condition is excellent, with no chips or restoration...

This is a very fine example of a simple, yet elegant First Period Dr. Wall Worcester coffee cup. The painting is very nicely executed, and features a large, loose bouquet of flowers, and other scattered blooms, including a purple tulip. The handle is grooved and there is a gilded rim.

The cup is 2 1/2" tall and has a diameter of 2 3/8". The condition is superb, with no chips, cracks, restoration, or scratches. The enamels are vibrant, and the gilding is 99.9% intact.

This glass powder jar was produced in Bohemia by Moser in the late 19th century. It is 4 inches in diameter and 3 inches high. The hand blown glass is colored light blue. It is hand enameled with a lacy floral pattern on the lid. There are gilded panels on the top edge and bottom with colored enamel decoration. They are mounted with a gilded metal hinged frame. This porcelain tea pot was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufactory, or KPM, in 1810. It is 6 inches high and 8 inches from the spout to the handle. The pot is made of fine, hard paste porcelain. It has a unique handle and spout. The pot is tastefully hand decorated with sprigs of cornflowers and foliage. It has a very traditional European look. A rare high-fired 'flambe' glazed Bretby bowl, by Henry Tooth and Co, made circa 1900 to 1910 - inspired by 17th/18th Century Chinese "peach bloom" and "sacrificial red" glazes. Condition - excellent - no damages or restoration. What appears to be a chip on the rim is, in fact, under glaze. 20cm (8.8inches) diameter. 9.5cm (3.8 inches) high.

This porcelain match holder was produced in Germany before 1920. There is no maker's mark on the bottom, only impressed numbers. We think it may have been produced by Schaffer & Vater. Heubach also produced similar types of jasperware. The match holder is pierced to be mounted on the wall. The decoration is white slip over light green ground in a Wedgwood style decoration. This porcelain sugar and creamer was produced in the United States by Ott & Brewer Belleek in the late 19th century. The sugar bowl is 4 inches across and 1 3/4 inches high. The creamer is 3 1/2 inches high. The porcelain is highly translucent. The interiors of each piece have a high glaze and the outside has a matte finish. It feels rather like satin. They are expertly hand painted by a factory decorator. The decoration is pink anemones with gilded foliage...

Exceptionally fine Edwardian tortoishell letter box decorated with gold pique. The serpentine front is inlaid in a pattern of floral swags flanking a center wreath. The curved top has a matching wreath and swags as well as songbirds. The gold has a beautiful rose tint that contrasts nicely with the rich golden-brown of the tortoise, and the surfaces are intricately engraved to enhance the appearance...

A very fine berry or casserole spoon in John R. Wendt's "Medallion" pattern. The handle features an oval reserve centered with a medallion profile of the Greek goddess Pallas Athena. The elongated bowl is beautifully scalloped. The back of the medallion has a period monogram "A" and the stem is marked with the retailer's mark for Ball, Black & Co. and with "925" for sterling. Wendt did not use his own hallmark in this period.

A beautiful and uncommon sugar bowl, probably S. Jersey (South Jersey) glass. The bowl has a galleried top and embedded white enamel striping. The bowl rim and foot have an applied green edge.

This fine piece is in superb condition, with no chips, cracks, or problems of any kind. It is 5 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter, with a rough, snapped pontil.

A nicely decorated document box featuring red and black grain painting, the edges with yellow and green striping.

The box is 13 1/4 inches in length, 7 1/4 inches in depth, and 6 1/2 inches tall. Overall condition is excellent, with no cracks or breaks, and virtually all of the original, unrestored paint is present. The lock and hinges are original and in fine shape. There is the normal amount of wear along some of the box edges.

This set of 8 porcelain plates was produced in Czechoslovakia, known as Bohemia, by Pirkenhammer in 1916. The plates have a diameter of 9 inches. They have deep cobalt blue ground which is hand decorated with two colored gold. There are violets, poppies, fuchsia and wild roses. They also have butterflies and insects.
