Really nice early pantry box with a label on the lid and on the front. Both labels read Raisins and it written in nice old sepia ink. The box in in fine crisp condition with nice old patina, mellow honey brown color and hand made nails. The box has a Shaker quality to it but the world made these boxes also so I can't say for sure that it is. It is 8 1/4" across the top and 4 1/4" tall and is circa 1830-40. This is a top notch pantry box.

This extraordinary wood carving is a figure of Santo Nino enveloped in an oval cartouche with swirling flourishes above and below. Nino is robed in dramatic array as she holds a globe in one while giving the sign of Christ in the other. The drapery and decoration of it is exceptional as is the rich relief carving. A pretty Victorian maple swing-handle sewing basket, the interior lined with colorful pleated silk plaid. The bottom, upper frame and handles are constructed of maple, and the spindles forming the sides of the basket are ebonized.

Origin: America, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent, except for a narrow age split in the wood at one end of the upper frame. Size: 8-1/8" x 5-3/4" x 9" high.

A Victorian Oval Mahogany Hanging Shaving Mirror with Brass Hook; used for Travel. Circa 1870; Dimensions; 7.5" x 4" closed; 14" open; 5" hook. Excellent condition.

A wonderful Victorian figural bank constructed of oak and decorated with punched and engraved brass appliqués. This is the only bank we've seen in the shape of a bank! The roof is pierced with two slots to insert coins. The bank retains the original lock, but the key is missing.

Austrian bronzes are individually cast from sand molds used only once, then sculpted and cold painted by hand with several coats of a special and secretive type of enamel paint, resulting in very detailed and life like miniature figures...

Cold-painted Viennese bronze sculpture of a devil by Franz Bergman. This half-goat half-man figure is very well detailed, even showing the individual vertebrae along his back and the curls of his hair.

These magnificent Empire or Regency tazzas are composed of the finest design and craftsmanship capturing the neoclassical motifs made popular by the excavations in the Near and Middle East which started in earnest in the late 18th century.

The base is triangular lifted by paw feet above which stand cherubic girls bearing baskets of produce. Behind them are scrolling stalks which uphold circular rim, decorated with serpentine ribbons to which are fastened observant angels...

An Art Nouveau Gilt Bronze Card Tray (or Trivet) with Four Legs and a Bird, Floral and Wheat Design. Dimensions; 8.5" diameter x 1.25" high. Circa 1875 and in excellent condition.

Offered is this beautiful antique French clock, with clock-works by S. Marti and statue made by L & F Moreau. The clock is 21 inches (53,5 cm) tall. Except for the pinky-finger on one hand of the spelter statue missing (see last picture), the clock is in good condition. There is no pendulum or key, but the pendulum-ticker ticks fine - so, perhaps the clock works fine. N.B...

A Rococo style bronze stand for either fire tools or umbrellas. May have been gilt at one time. 28 ½ inches tall and 10 inches across. French 19th century.

Condition: If gilt most of it is gone. Red showing in some of the bronze. Replaced screw holding the base and standard together. Good structural condition without repairs.

Antique 18th-century European gilt-bronze figure of a seated Ottoman Turk. The figure depicts a nobleman from the Turkish Ottoman era, seated in the Turquerie or "Turkery" fashion. He is sitting on a square cushion with his legs crossed. The nobleman is wearing an exquisite ensemble of Turkish clothing, which includes a long-sleeved shirt, a vest, and loose-fitting trousers. The Ottoman sash tied around his waist adds a touch of grandeur to his attire...

Finely executed late 19th century bronze figure of a young boy wearing hat, faint polychrome remaining, signed illegibly. Size: 8.5 inches high including the base.

Handsome gilt bronze figure of a reclining dog (some variety of hound) mounted as a paperweight on a butterscotch marble base. The statue retains its original gilt surface and has achieved a very pleasing patina. The marble base is richly colored with gray veining.

Origin: France, circa 1850. Condition: some flaking to bottom edges of marble base, no cracks, no damage to bronze figure. Size: 4-1/4" x 2-3/8" x 2-1/4" tall.

Gorgeous oval bronze jewel box from Russia's Imperial era, the top decorated with opaque champleve enamels. The box is decorated around the bottom edge with a row of cast beads. This decorative element is repeated on the lid. The lid is decorated with typically Russian arabesques worked in five shades of enamel. Exposed areas of bronze around the enameling is further decorated with floral and bright-cut engraving. The interior of the box retains its original royal blue silk velvet lining...

An Impressive Tortoise Shell Gilt Bronze Mounted with Boulle Inlay Inkstand with Double Inkwells. Figures, in bronze, are at each corner leg (possibly gods, see picture). Dimensions; 9.5" long x 6.5" deep x 3.5" high. French, circa 1860. In very good condition.

A macabre bronze figural cigar cutter in the form of a guillotine. The perfectly detailed guillotine includes a movable “bascule” and “lunette”. On the full-size models, these were the portions to which the victim was strapped and tilted into the machine and the part with a hole that surrounded the neck to hold the head still. In this case, a cigar is laid on the bascule and the lunette closes around the very tip of the cigar...
