A very attractive late 19th century first standard (950/1000 pure silver) wine taster by Parisian silversmith Louis Coignet. The tastevin is decorated in the Bourgogne style with an applied handle in snake form. The serpent is beautifully decorated with engraved scales and eyes. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England between 1800 and 1815. It has no mark from the manufacturer but it may have been made by Minton or Coalport. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/2 inches and is 1 1/8 inches deep. The cup is 2 1/2 inches high. The shape of the cup is known as a bute shape. The porcelain has a slightly grayish tinge to it. A Gorham Sterling Silver Sugar Sifter Spoon, in the "Raphael" pattern; patented 1874, and dating from shortly after. The length is 6" and it has a gold washed bowl (2" x 1.5"). There is intricate piercing on the bowl. There is an intricate monogram on the handle (matching item #533) and the condition is excellent.

Antique second half of the 19th century Bohemian hand-blown clear cut-glass decanter and stopper made for the Middle Eastern, Persian and Ottoman market. Body of bulbous form with long neck applied with three faceted rings, cut with leaf-shaped panels of hobnail, leaves and diamonds, enamelled with blossom and scrolls and gold gilt, with spire stopper. Base with a ground down pontil mark.

Pretty French faience plate exuberantly decorated with vases of carnations, sprays of bluebells and colorful insects. The plate has a deep rim and the edges are finished in a nice curved pattern. The back of the plate is marked "Jardin" in underglaze blue.

Gorham Sterling Silver Sauce or Gravy Ladle in the "Old Baronial" Pattern. Circa 1898 and 6" in length. The monogram is ES.

Circa 1880 French bronze champleve enamel inkwell with delicately hand-painted bird scenes. It sits on 4 bun feet and is in excellent condition. All enameling is intact with the darkest red color being a beautiful clear wine red (which tends to look a darker/duller in our photos). This lovely inkwell measures 7 inches across and 3" high.

The saucer has a diameter of 5 ¾ inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The set has a unique 6 sided shape. It is hand gilded. Companies such as Rosenthal and Lamm Dresden have created similar designs. An impressive and well-designed antique Bohemian glass paperweight. The bullet-shaped weight encloses a large central red, white and blue lily surrounded by three smaller lilies, all emanating from a speckled glass pot at the base. The area just above the pot has a thin film of green glass to suggest foliage. The weight is ornately faceted into a bullet-shape. The glass is quite heavy and clear. The coloring tends toward grayish-yellow, as is typical of Bohemian weights of the period.

These Old Paris vases are a visual treat, brimming with optimism and the charms of 19th century simplicities.

The pink ground of the body is sharply contrasted with the classic black foot with gold banding. Each vase has a complementary hand painted reserve of courting lovebirds framed in rich gilding. The opposite panel features very loosely painted objects including a beribboned mandolin against a leafy spray.

A superb quality very large pottery figure of a male attendant or official, dating to the earlier Ming Dynasty, 1400-1500 AD.

The head is attachable as often seen on the largest figures from this period.
