With its original powder puff made with either cygnet (baby swan) or gosling (baby goose) down, this American brilliant cut glass dresser box measures 5" diameter, 3" high. The lid is sterling silver and does has some dents around the edges. The cut glass is perfect.

DESCRIPTION: An antique Spanish Colonial style painted sheet metal mirror, 19th to early 20th C., continental Europe. Acanthus leaves decorate the painted border, topped by an elaborate floral crest with center figural medallion. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of Eugene V. and Clare E. Thaw. English Chippendale Mahogany Mirror, Looking Glass, 18th C, 29" high, 16" wide, 1 1/2" deep, with original glass and backboard. The carving is very simple and some veneer repairs on upper area.

A pair of finely cast Chinese bronze gu-shaped vases, with French gilt bronze mounted bases and liners. The vases 17th/18th century, the mounts 18th/19th century. Height 16.5 cms.

Lacquer tobbaco or snuff box with faux tortoise finish and brass Maltese cross inlay on the lid.

Origin: England, ca. 1820. Condition: good; some crackling and scratching of lacquer surface; one 1/2" and one 1/8" flake on the bottom. Size: 3-1/2" diam.; 1-5/8" tall.

A fine old antique gold frame of the 19th century, measuring 27" by 34" by 3" depth, the inner rabbet 18 1/2" by 25 1/2". This frame certainly at one time held a fine painting; there is some hint of there having been a placard. Weight is an impressive 20 pounds; the wood used I believe is heavy oak. There is much evidence of age, moderate wear; but it is in keeping with the age and antiquity of the frame. Currently there is a modern print of a Picasso work inserted into the opening.

Fine old lacquerware antique, cylindrical box, possibly Karen or Shan, from North Thailand, with rattan bindings, these are becoming increasing difficult to find these days. Some loss of lacquer on the surface. H: 15cm/5.8in and D: 7.3cm/2.8in.

Unusual Wood Tea Caddy or Tobacco Box in the form of a doghouse with brass nails and door surround and with a brass dog sitting outside. It opens by gently lowering the dog's hinged head which releases the peaked roof form lid which opens to a tin lined interior. The whole is mounted on a plinth base with brass beading. Circa 1870, probably Black Forest.

This is a very nice all original very small paint decorated box. It is all original and including the lock and key but the lock I think been disabled. The boards are thick for such a small box and the nails are also oversized for the box. It is the kind of thing that makes you smile...

Wonderful terrier dog dressed up in a huntsmans riding helmet. Mixed metal, highly detailed. Missing inkwell bowl. Very worn paint finish w/ minor hints of brown paint and red mouth indicate it was fully painted at one time. Very good structural condition. Heavy base. Measures 5 inches tall.
