From our European Collection, a good and substantial pair of Continental hand-carved black walnut chairs, 19th century, featuring claw feet and floral motifs carved in deep relief. The seat cushions are a mustard / gold colored silk and are either original, or later 19th / early 20th century replacements.

Unusual Japanese antique rootwood stand of hardwood, flat burl platform with many intertwining roots joined together for base, small losses. Meiji/Taisho period. Size: 28.5”H 20”W 15”D

Circa 1910-1920 British Hunting Silk Hat with Leather Box and Original Bottle of Cleaner and its mailing box. Custom leather box, lined with burgundy velvet, measures 13' by 12" by 8" with brass fittings and original key. Locking device works and all straps and closures intact. Some superficial nicks to the leather and roughness to leather around handle. Some neatsfoot oil would cover in these nicks. The silk top hat, made for the hunts, is black with inside diameter of 7.5 and 6.5"...

An American Federal Fire Screen; Mahogany 3-part Folding Screen on a Two Tiered Stand (one oval shelf over a rectangular one)standing on Splayed Legs. Blue Velvet Panels with Needlework of Elk and Hunters. Dimensions; 42.5" high x 18.25" wide x 12" deep; screen 18" x 15" closed; 36.5" x 15" open. Circa 1810-1820, probably of New england origin. Very Good condition.

A Magnificent William IV Walnut Writing Table or Desk, with a Leather Top (old replacement of the original) and Two Drawers. Dimensions; 36" x 18.5" x 29" high. English, circa 1830 and in excellent condition.

Fabulous, huge, Rosewood American Victorian Renaissance Revival etagere. Embellished with marquetry musical instruments and flowers, this beautiful piece is in all original condition, has been in the same family since it was bought in the 1870s. It measures 10'2" tall x 7'3" wide x 24" deep.

Heavily carved mahogany settee and chair with full winged griffons on arms, paw feet, and carved, reticulated tops. Probably by either Horner or Karpin. Settee measures 48" tall x 63" wide x 36" deep and chair measures 40" tall x 32" wide x 34" deep. One of the most beautifully carved pieces we've ever had the pleasure to offer for sale.

A fabulous two section Japanese Sado Island Isho Tansu made of burl Keyaki wood with Sugi frame and Kiri wood interior dating from the Meiji period (c.1900), with beautiful forged iron fittings on a lacquer finish, all original and in top condition, 3 keys. Size: L 45.5" x H 45" x D 17"

A Wonderful English Regency Hand Painted Tilt Top Candle Stand or Tea Table, with a Scalloped Edge and with Bouquets of Flowers as a Design. Dimensions; 19" across x 26" high. Circa 1810-1820 and with only slight signs of wear.

Large hand carved natural wood Mongolian alter shrine. 5 drawers used for storage and 3 open compartments for displaying prominent religious pieces. The bottom has one small opening door and two "secret" hidden sliding panels on either side. Beautiful natural rustic look and feel..

Size: 44 1/2" high x 45 1/2" wide x 17 3/4" deep.

A William and Mary Style Walnut Fall (drop) Front Bureau or Desk. With Arabesque or Seaweed Marquetry Inlay, Fitted interior, Spiral Turned Legs Barleycorn), Bun Feet, Shaped Stretcher and Brass Drop Handles. American, from the early 1900's. Full period details. Dimensions; 21" wide, 37.75" high, 13.75" deep (24.5" with desk opened). Small nick on back of rear right leg (visible in picture) and some wear on the stretcher, otherwise in very good condition.

Beautiful solid mahogany American Victorian dining table with heavily carved base. Table measures 60" square when closed. It has six original leaves, each approximately 14" wide, and eight more leaves that fit but are not original to the table. All together this table takes FOURTEEN leaves and measures over twenty-one feet when fully extended. The base is beautifully carved with a reeded center, lions heads and paw feet.
