Pair French Directoire style carved Mahogany Armchairs, Ca. mid 1800's, 36" high and 18" wide-back, 23" wide-front, 17 1/2" high-seat height, newly upholstered with greenish gold silk fabric and reed arm rest to the square block of interesting carved design. The frame is in very strong, heavy and solid and upholstery work is new. These chairs will go together very well with #1386068 Sheraton sofa in the very elegant traditional living room setting.

One of the best tables we've ever had the pleasure of selling, this mahogany table is 60" round when closed. There are twelve leaves, each 9" wide, making the table extend to fourteen feet when completely open. There is a center for support when open. The center pedestal is heavily carved with acanthus leaves ending in paw feet. The table is circa 1870. It has been professionally restored and is in perfect condition...

A rare antique Japanese Sakata Funa Tansu (Captain's chest for uniform storage) made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Kiri (Paulownia) woods. All original Urushi lacquer finish and hand forged iron hardware including the Hirute exterior handles and the Warabite interior handles. Lift-off security door opens to two drawers where the captain's uniform would have been stored. Fully framed in iron.
