From our European Collection, a good and substantial pair of Continental hand-carved black walnut chairs, 19th century, featuring claw feet and floral motifs carved in deep relief. The seat cushions are a mustard / gold colored silk and are either original, or later 19th / early 20th century replacements.

A Large Roycroft Oak Arts & Crafts Frame. Unusual form with applied maple leaves, attributed by a well known Roycroft researcher to be by the Head Carpenter, William Roth. Distinctive Roycroft Construction, as shown. Measures about 29 1/8" by 24 1/8" and weighs over twelve pounds. Rare find.

Lovely solid oak American hall tree with mirror and bench. This condition is perfect, and it measures 6'10" tall x 39" wide. There is a bench that lifts up so you can put shoes, gloves or anything else that you want to hide inside. It has hooks for hats and/or coats and a very pleasing shape.

An antique Japanese Gyosho Bako (street peddler's chest) made of Kiri (Paulownia). All original hand forged iron hardware. Hinged door opens to 5 inner drawers of varying sizes where special wares were stored. 4 upper rings were used in conjunction with rope to provide back pack support. Unusual back handle was used to assist in lifting the Tansu onto ones back.

Jerome's & Darrow Federal manner hand made shelf clock with wood works, Bristol CT. Provenance, Martin VanBuren Back, 1835-1920 (may already have been in the family for a generation.) We purchased from his direct descendant, David N. Back in the 1990s. We had the clock last serviced in 2006 and in good running order with reliable chimes. Beautiful ladies chair in a variation of the Rosalie pattern by Belter. Henry Belter became fameous for taking layers of wood, mostly rosewood, and laminating them so that they could bend and form a wonderful shape that showed off the wood so beautifully. This chair is typical of his work, and was made between 1850 and 1860. It measures 39" tall x 24" wide x 29" deep and will make a wonderful addition to any room
