An antique Tibetan storage cabinet that also doubled as a shrine. Decorated in painted lacquer with playful snow lions as the central motif. The skirt is decorated in a key fret design.

This is a pair of antique Chinese official hat chairs. Made of Chinese Elm wood, it was decorated with hand carved Linghi mushroom accents. The finish has traces of transparent Burgandy lacquer.

A walnut bracket and shelf intricately carved with a panoply of Masonic symbols. The shelf portion itself folds flat against the back bracket, and is supported by a swing-out brace.

Pencilled writing on the back of this item says that it was purchased in 1938 and was believed to be over 100 years old then, which is probably about 25 years on the optimistic side. The shelf has been shellaced or varnished; 19" high, 10 1/2" wide, 6" deep.

Lovely American tiger oak server with bevelled mirrored back, two drawers over one long drawer over two doors with a small shelf between them. It has Queen Anne legs and the moulding on top of the mirror is curved, ending with small rosettes. Thie piece measures 45" wide x 56" tall x 22 1/2" deep.

A centennial pair of Federal style bench made mahogany stands. Truly fine specimens - each with shaped mahogany top over conforming figured mahogany veneered and beaded case. Each case with canted corners centering ring turned leg posts and with serpentine front. Each front with two beaded and line inlaid drawers each with two brass pulls. From our European Collection, a very fine English oak refectory table, late 18th / early 19th century, hand-tooled from solid plank timbers and iron nails, using rustic style hand-carving for design motifs, and with crossbar support on the bottom. Antique Korean Bandaji bedding chest made of Persimmon and Ginkgo wood. With nickel/brass hard mounts with cash patterns with a Ruyi symbol that represents a mushroom or a cloud with the book match Persimmon wood grain also mimicking the clouds. This beautiful cabinet would be considered true scholar taste in design and symbolism.

This screen is carved from top to bottom in every possible place. It has faces, flowers, lion feet, berries and more. The red panels in the back can be easily changed, so it can be made to go with any decor. The two outside panels are each 22" wide x 65" tall, and the center panel is 20" wide x 65". Not only is this a beautiful screen, but it would make a wonderful one of a kind headboard also. It is in great original condition.

An antique Japanese Chobako (merchant box) made entirely of Hinoki (Cypress) wood. All original hand forged iron hardware. Two drawers where papers, documents and writing instruments were stored. Top carrying handle to easily move box from room to room.

An antique Japanese low Mizuya Tansu (kitchen chest) made of Hinoki (Cypress) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria). Two sliding doors open to a spacious storage area with a removable shelf. Originally this chest was used for the storage of water jars. Present day uses would include doubling as a stereo cabinet or acting as a beautiful buffet.
