Featured metalwork includes motifs of Chrysanthemums and Pine trees symbolizing the Takasago Immortal couple. Unusual pod shaped designs on the recessed drawers.

This is a pair of antique Chinese official hat chairs. Made of Chinese Elm wood, it was decorated with hand carved Linghi mushroom accents. The finish has traces of transparent Burgandy lacquer.

Beautiful solid mahogany partner's desk made by New York cabinet maker R. J. Horner circa 1900. The desk measures 30" tall x 53" wide x 33" deep. It is supported by four exquisite winged griffins who seem to be guarding whomever sits at it. There are two long drawers at the top, one opening at each side. This wonderful desk is in excellent condition and would definitely be the focal point of any room it sits in.

Lovely solid oak American hall tree with mirror and bench. This condition is perfect, and it measures 6'10" tall x 39" wide. There is a bench that lifts up so you can put shoes, gloves or anything else that you want to hide inside. It has hooks for hats and/or coats and a very pleasing shape.

English William and Mary Walnut Marquetry inlaid Chest, ca...

A very high quality mahogany drop leaf table with turned legs and stretchers with a shaped apron at either end. The three boards, one for the top and one for each leaf are well matched single boards. Excellent proportion and a nice small size. 27 ½ tall X 28 ¾ long X 11 ½ wide in inches. With the leaves up 31 ½ inches wide.

Condition; minor repairs including the replacement of one of the feet. There is an old breakout at one of the joints...

Gorgeous Rare Japanese single section isho tansu (clothing chest) from Sado Island, made of kiri (paulownia) wood with translucent reddish orange lacquer finish, fantastic iron hardware including large and elaborate lockplates featuring phoenixes, safe door open to two small drawers, Meiji Period (circa late 1800's). Used in a ship captain's quarters to store valuable documents and books. In the event of a pirate attack, these chests were tied by rope and thrown overboard to prevent them from becoming part of the loot...

An antique Japanese scholars table with inlaid mother of pearl (Raden). The top features a landscape scene with blooming Wisteria, a tree with flowers, birds, water side huts, borders and rippling waves of water. The scene is surrounded by a checkerboard design with a raised lip. Gold makie lacquer highlights the designs on a chestnut brown hardwood.

Octagon sided marble top table with an oriental style to the base. This is a simple but beautiful table, measuring 29" tall x 27" in diameter. The marble has two small chips, both in corners, and both not noticeable unless you look very closely. It is in very good condition for its age, which is late 1800s.

This beautiful bed, circa 1860, is exquisitely carved rosewood. It has deep, three-dimentional lilies of the valley, along with other flowers and ornaments. It measures 7 feet tall x 58" wide x 80" long. We have a double matress on it now, but there is room both in the length and wide for a larger matress to be made. This beautiful bed is in terrific original condition.

Beautiful American walnut Renaissance Revival four-door bookcase. This beautiful piece is circa 1870, completely professionally restored. It measures 71" tall at the center and 66" tall at each end. An exceptional ladder back Delaware Valleycahir with 4 slats, original red wash and splint seat, and well developed turnings.

The chair is in excellent original condition and structurally sound. As to be expected there are some losses to the splints. The height is 43", with a width of 20" and a depth of 18". The seat depth is 16" and 18 1/2" high.

Safe door opens to reveal 5 drawers where important documents, papers, writing brushes, an inkstone and valuables were stored. A trick secret storage box was used to hide important trinkets.

An exceptional 19th century European carved walnut armchair with original needlepoint upholstery and nail head trim. Seat features a scene with a wolfhound guarding a sheep. Back is covered in orange velvet which is torn at one corner (see pix). The scene on the chair back also has some damage to the man's face which can be repaired. (see pix). There a spots of minor age related wear to upholstery, but really in very good antique condition. The chair is solid and sturdy. Would make a wonder...
