Pair French 18th century Louise XV pier mirror, gilt and patinated Polychrome pale green painted on wood, 40" high, 15" wide, 1 1/2" deep, with carved low relief gold fluted decorated frame on top. Mirror plate is one(1) piece with blackened spots(picture shows horizontal line near the bottom area which is reflection of the room background), and backing is original wooden boards with square steel nails. There are some gesso chips off from the original finish...

The graphic impact of this blanket box with paint decoration is absolutely stunning. It is swirl decorated in black over a yellowish-putty color, and virtually all the paint is intact. Adding to the special nature of this piece is its dainty size, measuring 31 inches long by 15 1/4 inches deep by 13 1/2 inches tall. An antique Japanese Kotansu (personal storage chest) made entirely of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original bronze hardware with replaced drawer pulls. Two hinged doors open to a storage space for books and documents with removable shelves and small drawers below. Constructed using straight dovetail joinery and hardened wooden nails.

Rare George III Tea Caddy with Hidden Drawer, rectangular with stepped hinged top surmounted by a brass carrying handle, brass escutcheon and sliding side panel revealing a hidden drawer (patch above keyhole, lacks interior dividers).
One of the rarest of this form of tea caddy, the concealed drawer would have held your silver teaspoons.

An exceptional 19th century European carved walnut armchair with original needlepoint upholstery and nail head trim. Seat features a scene with a wolfhound guarding a sheep. Back is covered in orange velvet which is torn at one corner (see pix). The scene on the chair back also has some damage to the man's face which can be repaired. (see pix). There a spots of minor age related wear to upholstery, but really in very good antique condition. The chair is solid and sturdy...

Unusual Wood Tea Caddy or Tobacco Box in the form of a doghouse with brass nails and door surround and with a brass dog sitting outside. It opens by gently lowering the dog's hinged head which releases the peaked roof form lid which opens to a tin lined interior. The whole is mounted on a plinth base with brass beading. Circa 1870, probably Black Forest.

Large 19th Century Scandinavian pudding or butter box hand caved with intricate foliage in deep relief. The lid is held in position by two upstanding wings and a carved wooden pin inserts on one side to further secure the lid. In excellent condition it measures 12 inches high an 9.75" diameter.
