This absolutely wonderful pair of Victorian opera glasses are marked Lemaire Fabt, Paris. They were made in Paris, and date back to about 1880-90. They measure 4” wide and 3” tall when fully extended and were part of the extravagant Paris opera scene during the Victorian period. What a joy to be able to take them to the opera today. Antique, 18th century, Polish nobleman walking cane "Obuszek" with steelhead in the form of a war hammer "Nadziak," composed of a hand forged, faceted steel head with a down-curved, tapered, curved rear fluke and a three-stage hammer, with a rounded face, separately made tubular steel socket, fused to the head.

It is mounted on its original hardwood haft of a circular section, pierced with a hole for suspension cord at the top, and a copper eyelet on one site.

Hard-to-find English barrel shaped wooden string holder with a pedestal base. Made of lignum vitae wood, the dispensing end has a twist off opening. Circa 1860-1880 it is still a useful object and a great find for the collector. Overall condition is good with only a small chip on the base. Has a beautiful warm patina and measures 5" long at base, 5.5" wide at back, 6.5" high.

Measuring 2.75 inches in diameter by 3 inches high, this darling, circa 1890's, English, porcelain, double quill holder features a startled mother dove attempting to fend off a serpent about to devour the three eggs in her nest!

Likely Staffordshire, the quill holder features lovely polychrome coloration. Condition is wonderful with no chips, breaks, repairs, or repaints. Age crackling to glaze is evident along with a tiny stain on the dove's breast.

This is a graphic pin cushion from the 1860's in brown, blue and tan star pattern. The back is a egg wash blue linen. It has a nice blue velvet saw tooth edge that goes around the middle of the cushion. It is all hand sewn, a real work of art. It is worn but mellow and nice. It is 8" diameter and is 4" high. This is a great stick featuring three ivory carved monkeys with glass eyes. This stick has great detail and has a monogram on one side that says Henry G. Schwarz 1006 Chestnut St. Phila. PA. Not sure if this refers to a store or a person. The sterling is marked Lyon Maker Sterling. This stick measures 35 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/4". The handle itself measures 1 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/4". The collar is 3/4" and the ferrule is 1".
