A very nice Victorian inkwell in peacock blue glass. The front side is engraved with an ornate floral pattern. The lid has lapidary cutting around the edges and is engraved with the image of a dove in mid-flight and carrying a letter in its beak. Certainly, the suggestion is of a lovebird delivering a sentimental note! The lid is mounted with a brass hinge.

This is a very collectable walking stick featuring a dog coming out of the handle. Note the stones stacked behind the dog and the additional intricate carving details in the dog. A very fine stick. This piece measures 36"x 5" x 1". The ferrule measures 1.5", the collar .75". The handle measures 1.75" x 5" x 1".

This is not my area of specialty so I will attempt a best description. The smoking pipe is of Meerschaum, (for the German "sea foam"), actually the mineral sepiolite. Since the 1720's, the mineral, found mostly in Turkey, has been used in the fashioning of ornately carved smoking pipes. This is a Women's Art Deco Platinum Diamonds Wrist Watch from a Washington D.C. Estate. The size is 13/16" X 9/16", 1 1/8" long lug to lug. A set of 4 very old and nicely patinated European Powderhorns, made of flat-pressed cowhorns, leather and wood, all can be dated around 1700-1762.

One horn is particularly interesting, with the upperpart carved as an animals mouth, with an engraving of a deer and inscribed and dated 1706!
Another horn is dated and initialized to 1762, but is probably an earlier horn with a 1762 dating.
