Even with its enormous size, this incredible bird can fly and soar at heights of over 15,000 feet...

Rare Ceramic stirrup spout vessel with seated Scorpio. Moche Culture, Peru, 100 BC to 700 AD.
A superb vessel in very good intact condition. A Scorpio is seated on top of the vessel and from it's back, the stirrup handle evolves.

A highly interesting and very accomplished Blackware vessel with the portrait head of a living man, Precolumbian Peru, Late Moche or early Chimú, 7th.-9th. century AD.
Superbly detailed and rather substantial vessel, made as a grinning man with his tungue between his teeth and wearing larger earrings and headdress, the spout of the vessel prodruding from the top of his head. Rather scarce piece!

Pre-Columbian, Mayan, Early Classic, circa 250-450 AD large terracotta bowl on flaring foot. The polychrome exterior is painted in grey, cream, dark and pale orange with geometric design.
CONDITION: repaired crack on the side, nice showing the age and usage patina.

These carvings are in damaged condition as can be seen in the images and are very scarce as they are extremely old. They were collected in the Northern Territories of Canada in the 1950's, but date to a much earlier period.
Tlatilco Pottery Figure Mexico Figure with Double Spouted Headdress. Circa. 200 B.C. – 100 A.D. 8" high. Hollow pottery example. This a pre-classic seated figure having a double spouted headdress. Loss to one spout and tip of left arm, otherwise intact.
In my 40+ years of collecting, I have seen many bone fish hooks and have owned over 30. This one is the best I have ever seen. It is a G-10+, museum quality. I will put this one up against anyone in existence. This one is so well made that it goes beyond being utilitarian and was probably a family keepsake and worn as an effigy pendant according to Robert Butler who authenticated it. It is from Bracken County, Kentucky, Turtle Creek Village Site. It is 1 7/16" x 11/16...
