Important intact terracotta figure of the semi-nude Aphrodite, lifteing her arms and pulling her locks of hair, Roman, Severan period, late 2nd.-early 3rd. century AD.

A beautiful godess leaning on a collumn and with gown loosely covering her right leg and back. Wonderful elaborate hairstyle of the Severan period.

An absolutely lovely large terracotta head of a female deity, perhaps Aphrodite/Venus, Hellenistic or early Roman, 2nd. century BC-1st. cent AD.

The unusual head is not hollowcast but solid and done in the fine Hellenistic or early Roman style. She is tilting her head slightly to her left and has an elaborate headdress.

Size: c. 10 cm. tall and 7 cm. wide and weighing 252 grams.

Awesome style that we haven't had much better!

Entirely hand-modeled terracotta lion resting with crossed forepaws. The elongated body with vividly rendered mane, the tail runs between the legs to rest on the back.
The missing head reveals the buildup of the figure. Excellent modeling.
The collector’s label is covered by a second one referring to Fischer’s 1941 sale and reads B1404-234-pe ist).
The ink inscription is illegible and indicates, as with other pieces of the collector, where the figurine was found...

Attractive black-glazed oinochoe with trefoil spout and arched handle. The neck area decorated with grape wine and tendril motifs suspended from bands. The applied white color partially ‘gilded’ with a yellow ochre wash.
Fingerprints around the foot indicate that the vase was dipped into the glaze.
