This pair of Zhun is nearly identical in form and size to ones found in Houma, Shanxi province in north China. It is most likely from the late Spring & Autumn period (770-476 BC) in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty which is also sometimes referred to as Zhou III. Chief god of the underworld. Depicted mummiform, he is wearing the atef crown, fronted with an ureas, wearing the false beard and with hands emerging from tightly fitting garment and grasping the crook and flail. 26th Dynasty 672-525 B.C. 4 3/8 inches high. From a Maryland estate.

A very large and well-made flanged Javelin head, Danish stoneage, Neolithic period, Daggertime, latest fase, after 2000 BC.

The head is knapped in the parallel style, othervise only known from the fine daggers of the period, with flanges and with microchipping towards the edges.

Size: c. 7 cm. long.

Condition: Intact and choice with a few micro ancient losses. Fine white and calsified patina.

Partly polished axe with nice proprotions and clear 'seams' along the edges. Very nice workmanship.

Thinbutted axes were developed to help neolithic people to clear the forest to prepare the land for farming. The largest specimens - up to 40 cm - were put down in marches as offers.

A heavy axe with a large oval socket with 4 ridges and a broadening blade. Peculiar for this culture is the large pronounced ridge on top on the blade near the socket

Upper part of the seated Isis nursing the Horus child (Harpokrates). The miniature scale head shows detailed facial features. The goddess wears the tripartite wig surmounted by a crown in the shape of the st-seat sign, the hieroglyphic sign used to write her name.
With her right hand she is presenting her left breast to her son, which is now lost.
Moldmade. Pale green to white faience with glossy surface.

Ancient 5th -3rd century B.C. Scytho - Siberian (Siberian Scythian) solid silver belt plaque in the shape of a crouched feline perhaps a leopard fitted at the reverse with two loops for attachment. The two attachment loops are made of silver strips soldered to the rear of the plaque. The plaque is cast, then hand reshaped in repousse, pierced, and chased.

MEASUREMENTS: Overall length in a straight line:7.5cm (2.95 inches). Width: 3.1 cm (1.22 inches). Weight: 28 grams.
