Extremely rare shabti of the Prince Hor-Nakht.
Prince Hor-Nakht was a son of Pharao Osorkon II, who ruled Egypt from Tanis in the 22nd Dynasty. Osorkon II
tried to control the entire country so he appointed his son Hor-Nakht as High Priest of Amun of Thebes.
Unfortunately, Hor-Nakht died already at the age of nine. He was buried in the same tomb as his father in the
royal necropolis in Tanis (Hor-Nakht was placed in the same Chamber as his father Osorkon II)...

This is an extremely rare type of ancient bronze weapon from the Mediterranean region. It has a blunt tip blade with a very prominent midrib that is nearly a cm thick!. This is a nice little dagger from the collection of the late John Piscopo. Mr. Piscopo's tag will stay with the item. It weighs 42 grams and measures nearly 17cm. It has three rivet perforations in the handle. It does not appear to have any repair and seems fairly solid. This is a good chance to own an inexpensive piece from the Piscopo collection.

The upper lobes bent inwards to better fit the forked shaft, which was fixed with twine or rawhide. Hook-like projections on the neck.
Palstave is the typical axe form of the Middle Bronze Age, 1500-1275 BC. Late palstave types tend to have narrower blades, as in our case.
