This is a classical form Song dynasty small moulded longquan or celadon dish with appliqué twin fish in the centre and an everted flatten flatten mouth rim. The exterior is moulded with an overlapping upright lotus petal radiating from the foot. The dish is glazed with an uneven light green colour with glaze crazing.

There is no crack, repair or restoration...

A beautiful Tang dynasty changsa stoneware bowl with and abstract flower motive. The flowers look like crocus with it long thin leaves embedded beside a rock, all painted in green and iron brown colour. A very artistic, creative and free hand drawing in an abstarct form. The changsa bowl stand on a short footrim with a recess base. The glaze stop about three quarter way down, exposing the light buff clay. A must have piece for the discerning collector...

A ceramic pillow in the form of a cat, done in cream and brown colors, in old Cizhou Kiln style. This is a small cat that measures about 8 1/2" long x 5 1/4" high, and it dates to the turn of the 20th Century. The pillow is an example of Chinese Folk Art, and is in excellent condition with just a couple kiln flaws and an unglazed spot on side of left ear. Free shipping within the USA.

Good black glazed with large swathes of russet jug circa Ming Dynasty bottle with two lugs. There are a few chips on the lower edge of mouth. This kind of ware was the “coke bottle” of their day, common place household/kitchen items, almost every home would have a few. No reason (after a good cleaning and sanitation) you couldn’t reuse for your favorite poteen, bai jiu or single malt. H: 21cm/8.2in and D: 14.5cm/5.8in.

A Chinese, Henan, Cizhou-type black glazed bowl; C13-14th. The deep, rounded sides rising to a slightly everted rim, the interior covered in a black glaze decorated with two rows of closely spaced vertical russet stripes, while the slightly mottled black glaze on the exterior falls in an irregular line above the foot to expose the fine buff ware. Fine and rare Longquan classic celadon bottle with an unusual shape- like a truncated meiping. The depth of the glaze achieves the ideal “jade like” quality that is much sought after by celadon collectors. The Ming attribution is conservative based on the inward beveling on the footrim and reddish slip visible on the glazed edge, but Yuan or Song cannot be completely ruled out...

A Chinese, yellow glazed, caparisoned horse; C6-7th AD, Sui to early Tang dynasty. A lively figure of a prancing horse. Dimensions; 18cm tall, 20cm long.
