Kicho made of kosode (meaning kimono with small opening of wrists) which is made of silk damask dyed with beni (safflower). All embroideries are also vegetable dye silk yarn and gold yarn. Kicho is a kind of screen used as blinder, wind guard and partition. It was used in the house of the aristocrats since Heian period (late 8th to 11th century).
