Antique 19th century Southeast Asian Betel lime paste box of octagonal form constructed from beaten sheet copper the domed lid applied with silver sheet repoussee and chased with lotus petals and scrolls. The lid and the box are connected by the brass chain affix with the loops.

A cast brass gong mounted in a Japanese style wooden frame. The two parts were joined together in Singapore where the stand was constructed out of Vietnamese wuali wood. The stand measures about 27 1/2" wide x 23 1/2" tall x 11" deep and dates to the 1980s. The bell measures about 13" in diameter x 5" deep and dates to the 19th Century or earlier. The bell has a marking of "4-P" painted inside, and the gong comes with a matching quality striker...

A very fine antique 19th Century handmade THAI "PHAN" Flower Offering Tray in the shape of a stylized lotus flower. Intricately decorated with vines/foilage and flowers. Good condition. Height 7 cm x 9.5 cm top diameter.
An ornate silver betel box with open-work patterns of curling tendrils. The body and lid each have five panels with high relief work depicting 10 different scenes of ancient Burma. The top of the domed lid has a lotus blossom. The bottom is hammered with the date and occasion for the piece.

Antique Thai cast bronze figure of Garuda crouched on his haunches, with wings open wide. Garuda is the faithful friend and vahana (vehicle) of Vishnu. He is depicted here in anthropomorphic form, with human body but with wings, beak and and legs of an eagle-like sun bird. Garuda is the personification of courage and the enemy of naga, the serpent.
