A monochrome porcelain Vietnamese bowl from the 14th-16th Century. The clear ivory glaze has an incised design of a flower with 2 lines above it. The exterior of the bowl has a carved lotus pattern that extends to the bowl's small footing. During the 14th century, a second stacking method for firing was introduced using a ring-shape separator. It became the preferred stacking method by the 15th century. Vessels fired using this method have an unglaze ring on the inner base...

Chinese dignitary cast in stoneware, enamelled with Sancaî type colors (three colors), here in fact there are 4, a manganese, a yellow ocher, a green and a beautiful celestial blue. The colors were particularly well fired and are bright. The character is grimacing. This type of sandstone was widely used in China for creating tiles and large statues...

Over the years we have taken a special interest in Raku-ware and especially in works produced by the Tamamizu kiln, such as the 300+ year old ceremonial tea bowl seen here. The first in this line of potters was Yahē (1662 - 1722), an illegitimate son of Kichizaemon Ichinyu (1615 - 1768) who studied under his father and then left to open his own kiln in the village of Tamamizu (known today as Ide-cho)...

Antique Chinese Chizhou stoneware kendi (handleless pouring vessel with spout). Also called Tz'u-chou, this high-fire stoneware is decorated with rich brown-black glaze. It has a raised design of a band of flowers around it's middle and a scalloped pattern around it's mouth. The elegant form has a tapered spout with a slight bend.

This is a Kake-fukusa in this Edo period( 1646-1710)is very excellent in the museum Item class. It is konbuin kake-fukusa of the Kyoto museum and the one of the same class. All embroider it by the hand with silk. The colors are all dyestuff of nature.There is a very thin stain. There is a very little rubbing. However, the state is very excellent. Chinese Celadon crackled Stoneware Vase, ca. Ming period 1425-1644, 7" high, 5 1/2" wide-widest part, nicely crackled and shows raised rings like turning wheel pattern on the entire body by the turning wheel by the artist. Glazed with Celadon color inside the heavy top rim area, and the bottom is unglazed. One side shows darker area caused by the firing with wood burning inside the Dragon kiln. The condition is good, no damages.

Japanese antique indigo dye soft Choma Ramie tsutsugaki katabira kimono of echigo-jyofu.There are thin Stain and discoloration and small holes. It is a Kyoho era(1716-1736). Shochiku Umebun's bamboo is reminiscent of flowing water, and there is movement, and a delicate and flowing pattern is expressed throughout. Sprinkling sparrows here and there and adding moving sparrows to bamboo that looks like running water is a good combination of "bamboo sparrow" and "Shochiume" pattern...

Rare and large Nan jar with naturally running brown glaze. Nan is a Northern Thai ceramic which kilns were found in Nan province.

A very rare and decorative Oil-spot, black-glazed, Song style vase ( Spittoon ) from the Zibo kilns in Shandong ( from around the eighteenth century ). The very rare and highly admired Song Dynasty Jian ware Temmoku- resp. oil-spot glazed pieces were the model for this vase. H : 10,4 cm. Diameter : 10,3 cm. Condition : Perfect with just some very minute glaze-fritting to the rim ( please look at the fifth enlargement ).
