These compact matching diminutive Chinese porcelain covered jars pack a lot of color power, decorated as they are in the Famille Jaune palette depicting warriors in combat, one mounted on horse with spear, the others with swords and shields. One skeleton displays a scroll on which the artist has signed his name. Other skeletons enjoy music played on a koto while others play go, paint scrolls and make tea.
