This Hongshan jade circle amulet/pendant/tailsman/ring is from Northeastern China and is 1 5/8" long and 5/16" wide. Size 10 ring. The surface has been cleaned by buffing from a modern finder to accent the quality of the material which removed some of the original surface and left machine buffing marks, but it is an authentic, high quality piece. Antique betel nut box from the Philippines, composed of brass and nickel, with separate hinged compartments for the storage of various implements. The leftmost compartment is built up with slaked lime, which releases the alkaloids in the betel nut. The practice of betel nut chewing is common in many parts of South Asia. Slices of the areca nut would be wrapped in betel leaves and chewed, giving a mild stimulant effect.

This is a very unusual Japanese Cloisonne vase that looks more like a porcelain blue and white vase. The vase has a mix of silver wire and wireless enamel work. The vase is heavy and has a nice glossy sheen. The rims have an unusual dark chocolate patina to them. It stands 9 5/8 inches tall and is 6 1/2 inches wide. Overall condition is very good but there are two short lines in the narrow white area just above the scroll on the base.

Antique 19th century Indian Archer Thumb Ring Zihgir. The ring is carved of a veined green Nephrite Jade, inlaid with metal wire, and set with 8 cabochons and 3 small, oval, red and green jewels.

MEASUREMENTS: Overall length 4.5 cm (1.77 inches). The inner ring diameter is around 2.2 cm (0.87 inches).

Antique Japanese scroll painting, with an arrangement representing a bounty of good fortune. Fish top a bushel of rice and are tied with roped straw in an auspicious presentation meant to bring in a bounty of fortune. Adding to it, three of the Lucky Gods make an appearance in miniature, treating the decoration as if it were a boat or their ship of good luck. Sumi ink on silk. Dates from 18th century.

A historical example from Hongzhi reign (1488-1506) in Ming Dynasty. The censer decorated with under glazed cobalt painting depicting two figural scenes: "Worship the Moon" and "Carrying a Qin to Visit Friends". This censer used to be the collection of National Museum of Philippines, There is another identical one in the collection of National Museum of China in Beijing. Chinese Tang dynasty (618-907) pottery tomb figure depicting a male attendant with short beard and mustache dressed in a belted gown and wearing a red hood. 8 3/4" high. Very good overall condition with cold painted facial features and much original pigment remaining. Typical losses. The flat base is sightly slanted so the figure does not stand upright without a support. From an old Tucson, Arizona collection. Purchased from a California gallery in the 1990s.
