An unusually artful large stone head of a man with barred teeth, Dominican republic, Taino culture, Early Taino, ca. 1000 to 1300 AD.

The sculptural head highly unusual with very interesting features incl. what looks very much like glasses or a mask over the eyes. Barred teeth and a very broad flat nose. A piece of sculptural art worthy of any collection of Pre-Columbian art as well as other collections of beautiful sculptures.

Costa Rican Pre Columbian Terracotta Tripod leg Pot, once has 2 lug handle loops though one is now missing . The body decorated with a burnished red ground and a white slip zigzag pattern . Fair condition no restoration and is stable. Size Diameter 5" H 4"

This extremely rare miniature Olmec Jade standing figure is 2" tall. It is made from the finest quality completely translucent jade with the color being evenly distributed throughout. It stands alone on its tiny feet attesting to the great detail of perfect balance and to its authenticity. Small figures such as this are harder to make than the larger ones and are much more scarce. Rare Ceramic stirrup spout vessel with seated Scorpio. Moche Culture, Peru, 100 BC to 700 AD.

A superb vessel in very good intact condition. A Scorpio is seated on top of the vessel and from it's back, the stirrup handle evolves.

A rare pottery Jug with handle in red terracotta with the spout moulded as a human face and with eyes and brows drawn in black and cream. The arms on the belly drawn as well, all on a red glazed ground. Costa Rica, pre 15th. century

Condition: Choice, hairline repair to handle, othervise in perfect condition with preserved glaze. A very attractive vessel!

Seated hunchback figure, Jalisco, Mexico, 100BC-250AD H. 18 cm. Good condition with great manganese deposits and traces of plant roots. Ex Dutch auction house, ca. 2005, since then in my private collection.

This pre-Columbian Chancay bone flute is from the central coast area of Peru, 800AD-1200AD. It is 6" long and has four holes on the top and one on the bottom. The knuckle is carved with a very nice frog and two serpents/snakes along the sides. It is in beautiful, solid condition with superb patina. A real no-brainer. I purchased it on October 12, 1989 from HD Enterprises.

Mexican Pre Columbian Tlatilco Terracotta Nose. Unique piece it was not from a figure but made as is . Tlatilco is noted in particular for its high quality pottery pieces, many featuring Olmec iconography from an early culture c 1200bc-600bc. Tlatilco figures were known for their elaborate hair styles. This nose was made as a single piece perhaps as an offering as the Etruscans did. Cool piece but hard to photograph to convey the way it looks in person...

Two offering vessels in the shape of an Alpaca, carved from natural stone. In the back a chamber is drilled; it was filled with llama fat or coca leaves. These votive figures were left in the fields as an offering to the Earth goddess Pachamama. H. 6 cm. Dating from the 15th/16th century. Ex Dick Meijer, Amsterdam.

Pre-Columbian Olmec Standing Figure. Mexico. 1 3/4”H. Circa: 1200 B.C. – 400 B.C. A blue-green carved jade example depicting a standing dwarf figure holding his arms to his sides and his hands over his large stomach. Expressive facial features having an open mouth which has a drilled perforation. Drilled openwork arms with two tiny drilled perforations through the upper arms. Short stubby legs, left leg has a chip to the inside corner, otherwise intact...

A 4 figure group of Pre-Columbian textile dolls, ca. AD 1100 - 1450. They are attached to a 6 in cushion made from cotton, is stuffed with a variety of plant and animal fibers and retains its carrying strap. Each doll is made from different cloth.

Rare Antique Pre-Colombian Tairona Culture c. AD 900 – 1550. Burnished earthenware “four” holed effigy ocarina in the form of a deity wearing a long dress and a tall elaborate ceremonial headdress, seated on a Double-headed Serpent Throne. The blowhole is found on the top of the deity’s headdress.
CONDITION: good overall condition except for one minor crack on the back, minor chips, showing the age and usage with traces of earthen deposits, showing the age and usage...
