This early pre-classic olmecoid figure dates from approximately 1250 BCE to 800BCE it measures 5 1/2" by 4 1/2".Mineral deposits and root marks. The head has been reattached. The figure was in the collection of Robert Ruark, the highly acclaimed writer and acquired from Arte Primitivo.

Mexican Pre Columbian Tlatilco Terracotta Head. Rare fragment from an early culture c 1200bc-600bc. Tlatilco is noted in particular for its high quality pottery pieces, many featuring Olmec iconography. Tlatilco figures were known for their elaborate hair styles. This head has slanted eyes a large detailed hair combed with a tied headband style neck piece and earrings . Size 2.25" by 1.5"

This is the only bone scalloped triskele gorget known to exist. I purchased it on 8-1-92 from Who's Who, Duke Snider, who purchased it from Tom Davis. It is a whopping 4 1/2 inches in diameter. The name of the finder will go to the buyer along with the original receipt and paperwork. Everything about this piece is 1000% correct. It is a solid piece in excellent condition with no restoration or repair. Needless to say, this is one of the finest bone artifacts known to exist...

A pair of nice Capuli Complex / Narino pottery bowls, Northern Ecuador and Southern Colombia, 8th.-15th. cent. AD.

One of the typical pedestal bowls and a larger round bowl. The Capulí bowls has the distinctive black on dark red decor with rectilinear geometric designs.

A fine larger 'Pilgrim-flask style vessel, Pre-Columbian, Chimú culture, c. 900-1300 AD.

Very attractive with twin handles and the belly decorated on both sides with a mythical animal inside a stepped pyramide.

Size: 17,5 cm. tall.

Condition: Very fine for type. Some possibly slight restoration around the neck and a small pin hole, othervise intact.

Provenance: Ex Helene Ferro Collection, aquired before 1968!

This is an extroadinarily rare Aztec ceramic pipe. There are only 3 others of this earliest type known to exist. It was found by Dr. Allen Heflin on 12/2/60 in Cuautitlan, Mexico. The end of the stem has been broken off and appears to have been glued back on. This is not the prettiest of the 4 pipes I have listed, but it is the oldest likened unto Paleo vs. Archaic. I have what I believe to be the largest and finest collection of Aztec pipes in private hands.

Rare and extremely fine pair of Incan sheet silver and gold ceremonial deer cups . The hooves ears tails and antlers on the male are in nearly 17k gold . The female is made of 20 different pieces of sheet silver and gold soldered together and the male even more pieces. This very fine Colima figure is a great work of art, able to balance itself in a position of action. It is also possible that this figure is a warrior holding a club rather than a bat.This piece dates from 300BC to 200AD. There are three repairs,the head was reattached at the neckline and the club was repaired at the lower end, there was a small crack on the left groin area that was repaired otherwise intact.This is a very unique Colima figure with mineral deposit overall ...

Ancient Moche solid cast silver Tumi Sceptre c 300 AD with Warriors or high priest Lords. Fine sculpture and casting with inlaid stone eyes headdress ear flairs and shields. Xrf testing done for content appraised and authenticated by Lowell Collins with paperwork. The sceptre came from a 1960s Texas collection. Weight is 292g silver and is 9.5" long and 2 ' wide at the top.
