Deep blue glazed faience shabti for Nesy-per-nub, one of the important priests in the second Cache of Deir El Bahri. His shabtis display text variants that refer to his various titles.

Ancient Egyptian Faience Hare Amulet

This is a very rare Egyptian amulet in the form of a hare. The amulet is mounted on a wooden 1920’s collectors base which is inscribed: „Hare, sacred to Osiris“.

The figure is made of solid bronze, bearded, mummiform and holding the crook and flail with broad collar. He wears the “Atef” plumed crown with uraeus at the front, the snake’s tail rising atop the crown.

Egyptian head of a king with tightly fitting headdress, the uraeus and the vulture partially preserved on the forehead.
Eyes and eyebrows recessed to bear inlays. Also the body of the rearing uraeus was originally inlayed.
Attractive facial features with slightly aquiline nose and full lips, the almond-shaped eyes with cosmetic lines to the outer corners. False beard missing.
