An interesting, small collection of ancient pottery items from a range of cultures, incl. Greece and Rome, 600 BC-200 AD.

Interesting pottery flute in the shape of a bird. Greek dating to c. 600 BC.

The body is very nicely detailed with naturalistic bird features.

An old collection tag on the base: "No. 000693, v. Hassermann-Jordan Deidesheim."

Condition: A nice fragment with the head missing.

Impressive 18k gold & diamond pendant features a genuine Greek silver drachm of King Alexander the Great.

Dated from, 336 - 323 BC

Obverse:
Alexander in the guise of the demi-god Hercules (wearing a lion scalp)

Figure of the supreme Greek god Zeus seated on his throne holding a scepter and eagle

This is a large, deeply molded sculpture which would have been used to make appliques for attachment to larger vessels. The piece is 4-5/8" in length and its interior depth is more than 1". It depicts a lotus pod and comes with a rubberized impression. A beautiful piece of sculpture in its own right.

Nicely patinated emblem or amulet in pure 22+ gold.

Oversize axe of rhomboid shape with a short vertical and a broader horizontal blade. Roughened surface and a central perforation to insert a pole. The use of the item is unclear, also in view of the considerable weight of four kilogram. The type is described in the literature as axe hammer and also as double axe. Bow adornment of a fibula in the shape of a bird. The body flat and round with a raised tiny head. Wings and feathers are rendered as incised lines. The wings crossed over the short tail.
The bone element is unpierced and was adhered to the fibula’s upper side. Metal components of the fibula missing.

Very rare pair of Greek jewelry pendants in high grade 22+ carats Gold.

The nicely crafted pendants depicting Pommegranates. The original gold chain still attached on both. In the picture it looks like one is shorter but they are both the same length. Quite heavy ancient gold jevellery!

Condition: Choice, Still wearable and can be used as earrings or in a necklace.

This is a socketed iron spear from the ancient middle east. This was part of a lot including Bactrian and Luristan artifacts. I do not have an exact cultural attribution for this piece but it is similar to pieces from northern iran in the early part of the first millenium BC. It is 39 cm long and weighs 316 grams. It is intact with no evidence of repair.

Tarentine bone fibula body in the form of a leaping dolphin with dorsal fin and incised details.
The pierced eyes to bear inlays.
The head with its pointed snout is merged into a heavy catch plate.

A group of two authentic deeply formed pottery molds, used to create appliques for larger vessels. The larger of the two measures 4" in length and the interior depth is just under 1". The second measures 3" in length and the interior depth is 1/2". Both molds will come with rubberized molded impressions, as seen in the photos.

A very rare stamp seal depicting a warrior, kneeling behind shield holding sword or spear, 500-300 BC.

The seal with drilled hole for wearing and the top and trapezoid / pyramidal shape.

Size: 14,5 mm. tall.

Condition: Superb.
