Head of an antique Lady carved in high relief. Given the thickness, it is likely to be a fragment of a sarcophagus. It is a Roman or a Greek. The quality is fine, the carving is precise, the finish is neat and the marble has a beautiful patina, but I think it is a 19th century creation in the style of the antique. The fragment is mounted on a green marble cube. Total height: 28cm, the fragment alone 20cm. Some chips on the base otherwise good condition.
