A tanged 'Luristan' bronze dagger from Ancient Near East, Caspian Sea Area, Bronze age, dating to 2nd mill BC.

The dagger with rounded shoulders, a short tang and central midrib. The top of the blade has two holes for fastening rivets.

Length: c. 26,5 cm.

Condition: Fine green patina with some roughness to the edges. The blade has a bend at the the tip, as seen on pictures.

Ancient Near East, Luristan, ca. 1200 to 800 BC. A large elaborate bronze cloak pin, cast via the lost wax (cire perdue) process with large Zoomorphic beast terminal.

Used to fasten clothes, in this case due to the unusually heavy fabric and decoration, likely leather for presentation use - perhaps for a very thick cape or leather armor.

Size: 22 cm. with the terminal being 3,3 cm. wide.

A large and well-preserved tanged bronze sword, c. 2nd. millenium BC.

The style with the thick mid-rib and two rivets in the corner of the blade is known from the Assyrian period, and the present specimen provincially made around the lands of the Caspian Sea. On this specimen one rivet is still remaining. Very attractive and impressive!

Size: 45 cm.

Condition: Choice - very fine green patina and good metal quality - very few losses and roghness to the edge.

A rare Luristan bronze mace head. The upper body with a segmented swelling, bordered by bands, interesting large discus at each end, makes it a very rare type.

A rare and interesting bronze spear butt for a large lance for hand-to-hand combat, probably Median-Achaemenid, c. 7th.-5th. cent. BC.
