Interesting lot of 4 ancient weights of different usage, Greek and roman, 3rd. cent. BC-3rd. cent. AD.
Lot includes to fine Greek larger stone weights, with loops at the top weighing 33.57 grams, and possible used for weaving, a pendant shaped lead weight with loop, Roman and finally another Roman weight of bronze shaped as a bird and weighing 33,76 grams.
Condition: Intact with fine patinas, several rare pieces.

A very well cast and finely detailed bronze applique, circa the 2nd Century AD. In excellent condition, with clear facial features. The piece is 2" in width and 1-3/4" in height. Beautiful, original patina.

The lamp is of the Loeschcke Typus VIII and displays a scene with Hercules with bow and club on the discus. Very high relief! Finely stamped with makers or workshop name: CIVA.ALE(?)

This is a 2nd Century Roman Glass, hand blown 2nd century AD. It is thick and heavy, unflawed, no chips or cracks, no hairlines,it has impressed squares
on the body for about two third of the way down. Unguentaria used to hold poisonous, caustic oils or ointments and
were never smooth sided, to prevent the Roman from grabbing the dangerous oil by mistake. It is certainly one of the earliest poison bottles ever made.
