Group Lot of Roman Bronze Fragments, great for a beginning collector or someone interested in how ancient bronze patinas .
Roman Gold and Silver Glass Mosaic Palmetto Design Border, this mosaic fragment appears to have been mounted on a cement like material with an iron frame from the 19thc. There are a few examples from Herculaneum that match this example. This piece displays well . Size L 16" H 4"
Ancient Roman or mediterranean terracotta wine jug beautifully potted and finished with a tapering neck and lug handle age 1500-2000 years old , some chips to the rim but other wise perfect condition .

Ancient Egyptian late period c 664-343 bc bronze amulet figure of the god Osiris with heavy patina . Size H 3" the figure stands on a beautiful ancient Roman or mediterranean glass bead with red and yellow banding.
Roman bronze figure of Eros, He is holding a bag of some kind under his left arm and his right arm extended out and at one time had something in his hand now just a hole where the piece fit in remains , This piece has a nice dark brown patina and some mineral deposits. The surface has been worn down from years of handling .
According to tradition which was made by Eratosthenes, Eros was principally the patron of male love, while Aphrodite ruled the love between men and women...
Daunian bag-shaped vessel enhanced with a carefully rendered female protome just below the straight rim. The head with large lentoid earrings (?) and a necklace: the hair painted blue, short strokes along the body.
A rounded strainer type spout at rear and a strap handle to the side.
Buff colored vessel with red-brown and dark blue bands, a band of diamonds around the belly.

A rare Luristan bronze mace head. The upper body with a segmented swelling, bordered by bands, interesting large discus at each end, makes it a very rare type.
Size: ca. 129 mm. high and massive.
Condition: Superb, with excellent brown and green patina - a gem!
Provenance: Old Danish private Collection (Hans Henningsen), bought in the 1980s in London.

This barrel-shaped ‘Fustat bead’ is made of six sections of spiral mosaic cane laid next to each other longitudinally in alternating directions, creating a zigzag effect. The striping is the same in all cane sections—wide black, thin red, wide brown, thin red—only the direction changes. The core of the twisted cane sections, visible in cross-section at the ends of the bead, is translucent pale green. There is no core bead, the cane sections themselves were shaped into a bead...

Nice black-figure lekythos with men, two of them seated on fold chairs (okladiai). The men show nicely rendered heavy heads. They wear cloaks, some with faded bordures or dots, two of them holding staffs (?)

Pa-Khaas’ father was Ankh-Hapi, the name of his mother was Hathor-em-akhet. The T-shaped inscription is reading: ‘The illuminated one, the Osiris, the ‘Overseer of the Royal Ships’, Pa-Khaas, born to Hathor-em-akhet, justified.’
The figure carries a pick with the left, the right with a hoe and a rope for a small basket suspended behind the left shoulder...
Rare Etruscan neck ring with outwards-turned tapering ends and a belonging fibula.
The grayish patina and the effloresced surface denote that the silver contains additions of other metals like lead and tin.
Neck rings were known from the Celts and also used during the Villanovan period.
