A very attractive pair of matching floor or wall tiles, Western Europe, ca. 12th.-14th. century AD.

Finely made with a slightly trapezoid cross-section and very thick in hard red stoneware. Green glazed with 4 rampant lions on one of them and the other with Fleur de Lis. The style of the Lions points to Brabrant or Flandern, the Fleur de Lis to France, the glazing perhaps to Germany. Garanteed medieval pre 15th. century AD...

The fantastic creature shows a beautiful female head with chubby facial features. The curly hair is entwined with ivy leaves.

A pair of very rare and historical interesting pottery oillamps, 1st.-2nd. century AD.

1) Oillamp with it's discus decorated with a rearing panther over a Vase, with a three in the background. Very beautiful scene in good style and high relief, single handle. Part of base missing.
2) Oillamp with a very rare decorations of arms and armor! The decoration includes a Roman Cuirass, Battleaxe, different shields, helmet, shield w. spear etc. Loss of handle and holes in the base. ...

A large and beautiful green/torquise coloured tanged bronze sword, Ancient Near East dating to the early 1st. mill BC.

Commonly termed 'Luristani' by dealers and collectors.

An elaborate sword blade with shiny light green to torquise patina. Round shoulders and three prominent central midribs forming a lovely pattern running in the full length of the blade, a construction which points to the later manifacturing date of ca. 1100-700 BC.

Bow adornment of a fibula in the shape of an elongated bird.
The animal is shown in alert pose with outstretched head. It shows a pointed beak, donut-like eyes, and a body carved with parallel lines to render the plumage.
For a related example, cf. Christie’s East New York, sale no. 200A (06 June 1981), part of lot no. 19.
The notch on the bottom to bear the metal components of the fibula, which are now lost.

An nice earthenware bowl with incised decoration in a white slip and painted in green and manganese in a yellowish glaze (Bamiyan type), afghanistan, 12th. century (Pre 1221 A.D.).

With carinated walls, pseudo-caligraphy and symethric decorations in high relief. As typical for the most boldest specimens, the green colours are sort of splashed on.

Size: 17 cm. in diameter, 8 cm. high.

Condition: Choice with fine glaze, hairline crack repaired and loss to some glaz...

Turquoise glazed, pottery bowl with flaring body rising from a short foot. The sides and center carved with a Lotus pattern black markings, all in high relief in the manor of the Seljuqs.
