This rare juglet type is typical of the form that was popular in Judea during the Iron Age II Period (circa 1000 - 586 B.C.). Nice design and beautiful coloring. This jug measures 3.5" tall. For your consideration is this nice, Holyland pottery juglet. Originally used as a dipper or juglet. This piece dates from the time of David, Iron Age II (circa 930-586 BC), First Temple Period.
