An ancient Egyptian white steatite scarab, with finely engraved anatomical features such as clypeus, prothorax and elytra. The reverse is detailed with hieroglyphs, including the engraved depiction of a beetle scarab with the sun disk, a basket, a feather of Maat and a papyrus stem. The amulet is pierced longitudinally for suspension.

Ancient egyptian motto scarab with torquise blue glaze 13mm

A faience motto scarab. The base is inscribed with the characters Reed, Nefer and Neb, which together make up an Amun trigram.

A lovely and very rare Gothic style polishing steel or sharpener for edged weapons, Austria, ca. late 15th. century.

Very attractive with a wonderful twisted and curled finial and the look of a key with one slot.

Size: 85 mm. long

Conditin: Superb. good metal and nice greyish and brown patina.

A very rare full size early gate key in an extraordinary condition, European, late 13th.-14th. century.

Beautiful key with a round bow flute, a long solid stem, large bit with complicated slots.

The decoration of Gothic iron locks and keys was often elaborate and of the highest standard of workmanship. The motifs were frequently drawn from Gothic architecture, reproducing on a miniature scale complicated tracery patterns and even tiny statuettes...

Beautiful pottery dish with torquoise glaze, black markings and a finely decorated pattern, Seljug period, 11th.-12th. century.

The Dish in an almost untouched state with fine silvery irridescence on the surface. Very beautiful colours.

Condition: Choice and intact, a few places of missing glaze and usual markings from the making, but a very nice dish.

A large and beautiful dark green patinated tanged bronze short sword from Ancient Near East dating to the early 1st. mill BC. Commonly termed 'Luristani' by dealers and collectors.

An elaborate and cast sword blade in a quite broad design. Round shoulders and two prominent central midribs running in the full length of the blade.

Size is c. 37,4 cm.

Condition: Choice - some roughness to the edges. The patina is nice and smooth, dark green.

A large and rare tablet stamp seal engraved with a depiction of temple-doors on each side, Levantine, Pre-Canaanite lands, Late 3rd. mill. BC.

The engravings on this nice rectangular seal in white calcite, was interpreted as being temple doors by the former owner, in any case a fine complicated image for the period. Special stone and rare for the culture...

A large marple seal with a very interesting engraving, probably Bactria Achaeological Complex (BMAC), c. 3rd.-2nd. mill. BC.

Attractive large seal carved in a fine-grained white marple, with oval seal plate and a tall, pierced handle. The seal is engraved with a king or main deity seated on the throne, receiving tribute from a lesser king or minor deity. The tribute looks like a trident, but could be a sceptre. Both are wearing strange pointed helmets or perhaps partly animal heads ...

An ancient-medieval bronze bowl of the high tin content 'white bronze' type with engravings Gaznavids, dating to c. 10th-11th. century AD.

A massive bowl, likely a food bowl for really large parties. The bowl almost completely covered with fine azurite patina on the exterior and when cleaned would reveal the fine design of incised circles-dots (bulls-eye), likely hexacons as well.

Sizre: 22,2 cm. wide and 8,5 cm. tall.

A very large stamp seal in green-black stone depicting a horned animal, Anatolia 4th.-3rd. millenium BC.

A late Gable seal type with an advanced rendering of the animal, that shows the Pre-Hittite or old hittite style. The large seal plate also leaves for the long tail and a crescent above.

Size: 45 mm. long and 33 mm. tall.

Condition: Nice Very Fine, with moderate ancient wear to the corners. Very attractive in hand.
