A very nice assortment of Ancient Near Eastern cylinder seals, Mesopotamia, ca. 2200-1800 BC.

The selection consists of three Old Babylonian and Isin Larsa types with a worshipper before the throne of Ea, along with provincial types. They are carved in different types of hardstones

The largest seal measure 28 mm. and the smallest ca. 15 mm.

Condition: Largest intact group with some wear, the larger seal with chips.

A lovely large Assyro-Babylonian stamp seal with a particlarly interesting shape, carved of fine smoky grey calchedony, c. 9th.-7th. cent. BC.

The scaraboid is carved almost like an oval hat with a pointy raised center and sides tappering inwards. The engraving on the base is of a large seated winged animal in the drill style.

A fine ridged oval close combat mace head, Single Grave period, 3rd. mill. BC.

An oval and yet slightly compressed head with a deep ridged at the middle to attach it to a pole. In an attractive speckled granite stone with tag 187 in white ink from below collection.

A large and beautiful green/torquise coloured tanged bronze sword, Ancient Near East dating to the early 1st. mill BC.

Commonly termed 'Luristani' by dealers and collectors.

An elaborate sword blade with shiny light green to torquise patina. Round shoulders and three prominent central midribs forming a lovely pattern running in the full length of the blade, a construction which points to the later manifacturing date of ca. 1100-700 BC.

A very rare intact larger terracotta sculpture of a group of deities, Early Roman, ca. 1st. century AD.

She is standing semi-nude with a draped gown at her back and elaborate headdress. Below stands to smaller attendants, perhaps kids / smaller deities. Beautiful intact terracotta which should be researched some more.

Size: 22 cm. tall and wide as well.

Condition: Superb! Perfectly preserved with uncleaned sediments.

Upper part of the seated Isis nursing the Horus child (Harpokrates). The miniature scale head shows detailed facial features. The goddess wears the tripartite wig surmounted by a crown in the shape of the st-seat sign, the hieroglyphic sign used to write her name.
With her right hand she is presenting her left breast to her son, which is now lost.

Lovely terracotta lamp of the Loeschcke VIII and with a fine depiction of Eros holding the arms of Mars, below on the base is an inscription as a mark of the workshop.

Condition: Good Very Fine, completely intact with a little earthern deposits in the devices.

Provenance: Bärbel Kasper collection, Germany since 1950.

Ancient Greek Cypriot bronze tanged dagger or spear blade from the Bronze Age, dating back to circa 2500-1600 B.C. The blade has a broad tapering double-edged shape with a flattened central rib flanked by two shallow fullers, making it perfect for thrusting and cutting. The blade extends into a rectangular-section tang with a "hooked" terminal at the end for easy attachment to a handle or shaft.

Ancient egyptian faience shabti for Hor 9,8 cm.

Inscription: "jt n Tr n Jmn Hr mAa-xrw" means " Godfather of Amun, Hor, Justified"

THe title "Godfather of Amun" describe a permanent member of Priestly community from the Amun temple from Karnak.

Conical striped alabaster mortar vessel with two handles on the upper rim. 3rd Intermediate Period, c. 1075-800 BC.

Very attractive sturdy motar in very beautiful banded stone. Finely sculptured with the twin handles and the perfect symethric shape.

Size: c. 10,4 cm. wide over the handles and c. 7 cm. tall.

Condition Intact with nice patina.

Extremely rare early type of pottery Oil lamp, Roman, 1st. century AD.

The lamp is of the Loeschcke Type IV and displays a scene from the the Education of Achilles by Chiron.

An awesome motif and an important lamp for the historically interested collector or scholar.

Condition: Choice for the rare type, looks completely intact, but it's uncleaned in places, which could hide a hairline, we're not certain, and it would be a shame to clea...

A Kushan gold necklace delicately strung with very small ancient lapis lazuli beads (approximately 24 beads to an inch). There are 12 gold coins with images of 6 ancient kings - six on each side. There are 2 kings that we recognize - one is Vasudeva I, the other is "Ohsho" holding an elephant goad, thunderbolts, a trident and a goat. The center bead is a oblong fluted gold bead. There are also two blue glass beads flanking the central gold bead. Wearable.

Fine hand axe from Northern Africa, Sahara Desert, Neolithic period, ca. 10,000 to 6000 BC.

A finely knapped bifacial in a lovely pinky-brown silex or chert, with inclusions. Partly polished gloss section.

During this time period, weather conditions called the Neolithic Subpluvial meant that the Sahara was a green, fertile landscape, ideal for hunter and gathering cultures.
