A large and beautiful Scandinavian style bronze shield or tortoise brooch or Fibula decorated with intertwinned dragons, c. 8th.-9th. century AD.

Impressive piece of jevellery that comes out of a very old German collection.

Size: 64 mm. wide and 56 mm. tall.

Condition: Good Very fine, with intact needle and sound metal, mottled green and brown patina with some azurite on the back.

Condition: Nice Very fine, missing iron needle and sound metal, mottled green patina.

Finely made square stamp seal in a grey stone with a handle atop. The base carved with a Lion vs. Capride.

Size: 30 mm. long, 24 mm. wide and 18 mm...

Carved in a fine glossy green stone, rectangular shape and with a low pierced handle on the back. The seal carved with an elephant in a nice early Roman style of the 1st. century BC.

The style of the Elephant is clearly in family with denarii issued from military mints at the time of Julius Caesar.

Interesting Bifacial stone stamp seal, East-Anatolian, probably in the time of Uruk, 4th.-3rd. mill. BC.

Deep carving in an attractive dark green stone with a palmtree or a palm-leaf engraving one one side and a human and a snake(?) on the other side. Early depiction of a human figure, in the nice drillstyle.

Size: 23 mm. wide over the base and 21 mm. tall.

Condition: Near VF, chip to the edge of one of the seal bases...

A rectangular stone stamp seal carved in a green stone. The seal is high unusual, since it depicts a whole bunch of people having great fun. They are skillfully done with lines and round heads; it looks like there a couple having sex and other humans applauding it, but it might just be my imagination(?).

Wonderful style!

A nice tanged bronze dagger from the Ancient Near East, Caspian Sea Area, Mid-late Bronze age, 2nd. mill. BC.

Blade with rounded shoulders and a broad central midrib. The tang is c. half the length of the blade, with a bend at the top, for better fastening to the wooden handle.

Length: c. 25,7 cm

Condition: A nice dagger with fine green patina. Some roughness to the edge.

A nice tanged bronze dagger from the Ancient Near East, Caspian Sea Area, Mid-late Bronze age, 2nd. mill. BC.

Blade with rounded shoulders. Short tang with hole for a rivet to fasten the handle.

Length: c. 24,4 cm

Condition: A nice dagger with fine green patina. Some roughness to the edge.

Slim blade with rounded shoulders and central midrib.

Length: c. 27 cm

Condition: A nice dagger with fine green patina with pots of red. Slight roughness to the edge.

Ex. Private Collection in Denmark.

A nicely engraved steatite stone scarab, Egypt New Kingdom, c. 1539–1075 BC.

Stylized with incised features such as the clypeus, prothorax and elytra marked by single lines. Decorated to the reverse with stylised geometric swirls and loop patterns. The amulet is pierced longitudinally for suspension.

Size: 16 mm. long.

Condition: F-VF, the seal completely intact, but some surface chips to the beetle.

Condition: Extremely fine, choice green patina and great metal.

Ex. Danish private Collection, aquired at the Copenhagen antiques market in the 1990s.
