A very attractive unpolished Danish neolithic axe of the Single Grave slender type, dating c. 2800-2400 BC.

Very nicely knapping details on the sides and several old collection tags! The axe has finding date in black ink given as 4. september 1924, found in 'Hestehave'.

A superb example of a sand core dark blue glass oenochoe of Greek or Egyptian origin. The pear-shaped jug has a trefoil mouth, convex handle, and a round splayed foot. The central part of the body is decorated with a spiral yellow thread above a yellow zig-zag motif, below which is a turquoise zig zag section above another spiral yellow thread...

A finely grooved and scarce Danish macehead in granite, Single Grave period, 3rd. millenium BC.

The artifact is polished to a symethric compressed oval form with a deep groove in the center. These were made by the singlegrave culture and was used as a weapon alongside the battle axes from this culture.

Condition: Choice, with fine patina and undamaged.

This is a rare and interesting ancient Egyptian scaraboid. An uraei knot is depicted on the top and a Hathor sistrum flanked by two uraei is incised on the bottom. The uraei knot is much older than the Herakles knot and much probably the precursor.

Oversize axe of rhomboid shape with a short vertical and a broader horizontal blade. Roughened surface and a central perforation to insert a pole. The use of the item is unclear, also in view of the considerable weight of four kilogram. The type is described in the literature as axe hammer and also as double axe. An interestion and rare bronze battleaxe, European, late bronzeage-early Ironage period, 1st. millenium BC.

A beautiful axe, long slender type with mounting hole to the back and a slightly curving blade.

Size: 13,5 cm. long

Condition: Superb, fine green patina with a dusting of earthern encrustations.

This axe comes from a find in Germany and was offcially exported with a license.

Egyptian Amarna New Kingdom 18th-19th Dynasty Fiance highly detailed molded bead , good condition c 1300 BC. Size over 1/2"

This is a beautiful short sword from ancient Persia (circa 1200 BC). It has a leaf-shaped blade with three raised ribs that meet to form a strong central blood groove. The piece appears strong and stable with no signs of repair or restoration. It measures just over 35 cm in length and weighs 338 grams.

Pa-Khaas’ father was Ankh-Hapi, the name of his mother was Hathor-em-akhet. The T-shaped inscription is reading: ‘The illuminated one, the Osiris, the ‘Overseer of the Royal Ships’, Pa-Khaas, born to Hathor-em-akhet, justified.’
The figure carries a pick with the left, the right with a hoe and a rope for a small basket suspended behind the left shoulder...

A scarce and beautiful Etruscan Kyathos of the late Bucchero ware. 600 - 550 B.C.

The piece sustantial and with iconic high handle design.

Condition: A fine uncleaned piece in black pottery, perfectly intact and very attractive. Quite scarce in intact condition.

Massive bronze bracelet of elaborate ornamental shape with neatly joining ends.
Bronze was very expensive in antiquity and such ingot-shaped bracelets showed the wealth of the owner. The bracelet could be reused at any time to cast or forge other artifacts or weapons.

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this Egyptian green faience amulet of a standing deity. The figure stands erect with the traditional pose featuring the hands at the side. The back is supported by a full dorsal pillar and features a completely intact suspension hole. The figure is worn, but is likely of the standing god Horus, in falcon form. The lower portion of the figure has been lost as well, however the amulet still measures a splendid 1" in height...

A lot of 4 lovely points in fine hardstones and silex from the private collection of P.F. Wulff. We're selling this very old collection in smaller lots to give everyone a chance to own a small piece of the pre-historic Americas!

Two of four points are carved in scarce translucent hardstone, probably agate, and two probably in silex. One is Paleo-Indian from c. 10.000-8000 BC and others can probably be dated to the 2nd.-1st...

Egyptian head with side lock, probably of Harpokrates, the infant son of Isis and Horus.
The face shows almond shaped eyes, a flattish nose, and slit mouth. The well preserved left ear appears just below the partially present side lock. The neck slightly bent to the figure’s left side.
The head most likely belongs to an ithyphallic limestone figure. For a related example, cf. acc. no. ST58 in the British Museum database.

A splendid large steatite scarab from the New Kingdom, 16th. century BC- 11th. century BC.

The scarab is carved with a vase (?) flanked by a pair of hieroglyphs for the Cobra / Uraeus and further down the scarab beetle finely outlined in between hieroglyphs. The scarab is also finely carved on the back and with tiny details of body, head and legs. Note also the cylindrical finials for the horisontical drill.
