This is an amazing bronze dagger from the ancient middle East - probably Northern Iran. It has a very heavy, wide blade with a prominent midrib. The tang is a typical, square, rat-tail style. The patina is a mix of light green and brown typical to pieces from that region. The piece is solid and stable and is in excellent condition overall. This bronze axe head is from ancient Iran and dates to around 1500 BC. Similar examples are attributed to either the Amlash or Luristan cultures.
