Antique Chinese small carving of a maiden and her attendant, the maiden is holding a flower basket in one hand and between the two they hold a blossoming peony branch, delicately carved of morganite with a lovely faint pink hue, they stand on a small rectangular base of iris agate, 19th century. Size: 2 3/4" high

This is a genuine, archaic Chinese nephrite axe or Gui scepter. The surface has the expected smooth, "waxy" feel to it. The end is sharpened (which leads me to think it was made as a prestige axe as opposed to a scepter, although the literature seems to view pieces such as this one as either/both an axe and a Gui scepter; e.g. Rawson in Chinese Jade - I've included photos of the pieces listed there for reference)...

This is a beautifully carved nephrite jade ring whose exterior is encircled by a sinuous dragon. The interior diameter is one-inch (1"); exterior diameter is 1-3/4" at the widest point. The stone is a medium celadon color with tiny areas of a darker inclusion. This is an authentic product of the Qing dynasty, not a later product misleadingly labeled "Qing," and it is guaranteed to be of the period...

This is fine example of a white nephrite jade Thumb Archer's Ring, with a Taotie theme: symbols and figures carved in high relief all around the surface of the ring. It was apparently used to some extent because it shows a few very small impact scars on its edges, as well a hairline crack on its outside surface, but it is in solid condition, with well defined carved symbols . Other similar examples date to the Chinese Qing period.

Chinese White jade pendant in the form of a dragon and phoenix with incised heart designs. Diffuse calcification. Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD) unearthed in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. Size; Length of carving is 4 inches, no condition issues noted.

DESCRIPTION: A well carved cylindrical jade cricket box, the body carved and pierced from white jade in a leaf and flower pattern, with a dark cyan colored jade lid, pierced and carved in the same pattern. This white and pale beige jade is carved to skillfully utilize the two tones of the stone – the beige for the clothing and the white for the face and exposed shoulder. Very good condition. Acquired in North Carolina from an estate that was involved in the tobacco trade in China.

Antique Chinese jade miniature duck holding a lingzhi sprig in its beak as it turns to look down it's tail. The bird is beautifully carved with details of the feathers and head done with great naturalism, 19th century. It measures 2" long 1" wide 1.5" tall.

Beautiful small Chinese jade carving of a seated goose clutching a leafy sprig in its beak. Lovely detail all over. The jade is of gray-green matrix with light inclusions. Age: 19th century. Size: 2.25" width.

A beautifully colored mottled nephrite jade disc (sword-pommel) in colors of cream, rust and grey. In the center is a small hole encircled by flower petals. A double-lined rim borders the outer rim of the petals. A band of C-curl patterns extend to the double-lined outer rim. The surface of reverse side has a couple of cleavage planes natural to the stone. Size: Diameter: 2-3/16" Condition: No chips or repairs.

A rare jade archer,s ring, which to me is the actual archers ring used with the bow and arrow rather then the better know thumb ring which is more a piece of jewelry. It was used on the thumb, that's where the "thumb ring" comes from and more than likely on a gloved hand due to the size. See the last three photos of a similar one in a Chinese jade book.
