A large brooch of Chinese export silver made in filigree technique and embellished with enamelings and a good carved jadeite Feicui piece in the shape of a hibiscus flower. Stamped on the back side. Size: Diam 5,4 x 4 cm. Late Qing, around 1900/1910. Condition: good.

Lovely Qing Dynasty pendant of a monkey on a leaf, “staring at the moon”, carved from carnelian. An unusually fat piece with a rich dark color rarely seen in Chinese carnelian. Very rare pendant in cast bronze representing a fabulous animal. It could be a bird because on the back there seems to be stylized feathers and the mouth seems to be garnished with a beak, but it could also be the fangs of a dragon? The animal surrounds a cartouche which contains archaic Chinese characters. The object is certainly very old and the style would indicate a very high Shang or Zhou period but the patina is not archaic...
