Beautiful black birds perched over a chrysanthemum bush. There is an inscription in the upper left corner and a cartouche. Sumi and light colors on silk. Mid Ching dynasty (1644-1911), circa 1800. It measures 12" wide 32" long, overall 16" wide by 55.5" long.

Serene and calm landscape of the mountains with three figures, two men and a boy, sitting by the river bank. There are two inscriptions at the top with seal marks below them. It is mounted on a yellow paper with a medallion pattern. The image measures 17" wide 50.25" long, overall 24" wide 90" long.

Chinese Antique Crane and Peaches Scroll, colorfully and vibrantly painted with dancing red-crested crane next to stream and ripe peach-laden tree, pigment beautifully applied, late 19th century, two seals and signed artist name Zhao Ahi Qian (1829-1884), picture size: 54.5"H 27.75"W, overall size: 86.5"H 36.25"W, some wear in center of painting.

I have seen many antique paintings of mountain tigers, but none with this level of realism. This Chinese painting dates late Qing, 1910-1912, possibly early Republic, pre 1920. The seal indicates that it came from a shop in Southern China. It measures approximately 17" wide x 48" high.

Designed by P. van Blanckaert and etched by G.G. Winckler in Augsburg Germany, in the second half of the 18th century. Depicting the view of a triumphal arch at Canton. Condition: Trimmed, mounted on cardboard, small but old fissure, lightly stained. Dimension: Etching 27,5 cm x 40,8 cm. / cardboard 35,2 cm x 48,5 cm.

Chinese Ming Dynasty scroll painting attributed to Qiu Ying (1494-1552). Qiu Ying's courtesy name was Shifu (实父), and his art name was Shizhou (十洲). He is regarded as one of the Four Masters of the Ming dynasty. Ink and color on silk, hanging scroll. The painting represents a beauty in her back yard of bamboos and rock garden. Signed “Shi-zhou, Mei Ren (beauty)”, with one gourd-shape seal of the artist. One collector’s seal on the bottom left. Re-mounted by the previous owner...

The calligraphy was attributed to Wen Zheng-ming (1470-1559). Wen Zheng-ming, born Wen Bi, was a Chinese painter, calligrapher, and poet during the Ming dynasty. He was regarded as one of the Four Masters of Ming painting. He was born in Changzhou County (now part of Suzhou) in the Jiangsu province. He was also known as Heng-shan Jushi and Ting-yun-sheng. Ink on paper. Signed “Wen Zheng-ming”, with two signature seals of the artist...

The painting was attributed to Shao Mi (1592-1642). Shao Mi was a Chinese landscape painter, calligrapher, and poet during the Ming Dynasty. Shao was born in Changzhou County (now part of Suzhou) in the Jiangsu province. His style name was “Seng-mi” and his sobriquets were “Gua-chou” and “Fen-tuo jushi”...

Traditional brush and ink Chinese painting of birds done in the style of Jin Cheng 金城. This homage was done in the 20th century and is very attractively mounted a silk scroll. Jin Cheng travelled internationally and was a founding member of the influential Chinese Painting Research Society (Zhongguo huaxue yanjiuhui) that became later known as the Hu Society (Hu she). The writing at the top right is an apocryphal dedication- gifted to Yu Po 1907...

Black and white print of Nagasena Ahrat. In the 9th century this portrait of the luohan was painted as well as those of 15 other Ahrats by the painter Guanxiu who was a Buddhist monk. 900 years later, in 1757, Emperor Kienlong during a visit to Shengyin Monastery in the former province of Hang admired the 16 portraits. In order to perpetuate them, he ordered the carving of 16 sculpted stones to produce numerous prints of these works of art, of which here is one of the rare examples...

17th century scene of "Son Returns Home After Making His Fortune to the Surprise of His Family". Hand painted with inks on silk, we are dating this painting pre 1900. Not examined out of frame, it looks to be in excellent antique condition. Measures in frame 20" x 38" high, site size 14" 27" high.
