Based on the gourd in the sash of the larger figure - possibly depicting the immortal, Le Tieguai. Nicely defined foot rim. The top rim with broad, just slightly concave surface. Very well hollowed. 19C Chinese Imperial Famille Rose Porcelain Snuff Bottle Xianfeng Mark and Period The bottle is decorated with medallions of various floral, foliate and geometric designs. The base is inscribed with a four-character seal mark. Xianfeng seal mark and of the period. It comes with a silver stopper with turquoise adornment. Size: 6.8 cm tall, 5.3 cm wide, 3 cm thick. Condition: Good condition considering its age.

The carved overlay glass snuff bottle is an early 20th century product. The red over clear glass snuff bottle is 2 ¾” high, 1 5/8” wide and 3/4” thick. Both sides have the same design which depicts a blossom tree. It has a light carnelian cap which is a later replacement. It is in great condition.

This very well carved overlay glass snuff bottle is a late 19th century product. The pink over black glass snuff bottle is 3 1/2" high, 1 5/8" wide and 1" thick. It depicts 8 Buddhist symbols of good fortune around the bottle. Those 8 Buddhist symbols are Lotus Flower, Dharma Wheel, Umbrella, Fish, Conch Shell, Victory Banner, Vase and Endless Knot. It has a light green hard stone cap which is a later replacement...

19th century Chinese lacquer snuff bottle in flask form with inlaid lac burgaute reserves on each side depicting a flower sprig and brocade patterns surrounding the reserve. Lac Burgaute is a French term describing a lacquer technique with inlaid designs using small shapes of iridescent blue-green and purple abalone shell and gold and silver foil. Very well made, well hollowed, original matching stopper, in great condition. Height with stopper 2 9/16 inches.

Late Qing Dynasty (1900s) Chinese porcelain snuff saucer with underglaze blue painting of an open fan and enamel decoration of yellow bamboo rib and orange tassel. Very well made, wonderful painting, beautiful patina, some rubbing to the top, in great condition. Marked in underglaze blue on the bottom. Diameter 1 3/4 inches.

It is amazing that about half of the snuff still remains in this bottle. Lacking a stopper, it was stuffed with tissue when we received it. We added the stopper for display purposes. The scene surrounding the bottle depicts a person riding a buffalo towards a mountain range while pointing behind him to the man with an umbrella. The bottle has a network of crackles stained over to a pale brownish tone. There are some pin pricks from firing, maybe bits of ash. Dates 1800s. 3 inches high.
