This is a two paneled blanket with original border and supplementary weft silk embroidered pattern phoenix and flowers on a cotton field “key fret” pattern- all handspun threads. Good condition - no holes or missing embroidery threads. L: 110cm/43in and W: 66cm/cm/26in- with blue cotton border L: 153cm/59in and W: 110cm/43on.

A very rare and well made Temple carpet from Tibet with an Imperial dragon with five claws chasing the elusive pearl. This carpet was made to wrap around the column in the temple and the two ends meet.

Classic long sleeved silk brocade cheongsam aka qipao. This is all hand tailored and hand sewn, definitely not off the rack. Beautiful floral pattern (lotus, chrysanthemum, and pomegranate blossoms) with foliate scrolls, this pattern can be traced back to Ming Dynasty blue and white porcelain. The zipper has come off the track other than that perfect condition. See enlargements for dimensions. Clean but could use a steam press. More dimensions can be provided for a serious buyer.
Antique Chinese black dragon and phoenix priest's robe. Roundels embroidered with gold phoenix and dragon with clouds and waves. Silver and gold thread with red and green couching stitches. On the back of the robe there is a peach and jewels and the wheel of life on large back panel. Small overall wear and discoloration. 40" long x 62" sleeve to sleeve. Republic period. Circa 1900-1920s.

This particular example features a large open golden orange field, which varies wonderfully in intensity of color throughout the pile. It's sparsely but elegantly decorated in restrained Chinese taste, using only leafy vines set against the open field, and bordered with a rich and still quite vibrant inky blue / navy blue outer border...
This wonderful pair of lotus shoes are typical of boots from Shandong. They have a black cuff with hand-embroidered butterfly motif and the remanents of a thin pink woven band. The blue vamp is somewhat faded toward the front of the boot and has delicately embroidered butterfly on each side. The soles have worn leather heels. The inside silk lining is bright pink and in very good condition.
This traditional antique Chinese childs top was made using a fine, deep royal blue damask silk with black silk trim. From a wealthy family, this top was padded for winter use, has all the original frog and monkey fist knot closures, and a hand embroidered rondel with lots of couching and seed stitches (aka forbidden stitch)
The variety and types of embroidery stitches on this antique Chinese hat are old typically Miao minority. Probably done by dotting grandmother. The silver ornaments, the butterfly, the bubbles are symbolic of the Miao myth regarding the birth of the human race. The hat shows some dirt but is otherwise in good condition.
This is a wonderful Qing Dynasty child's hat from Shui minority group in the Rong Jiang area. It is traditional looking Chinese cap style made with silk fabric and silk split thread embroidery, and top knot. This hat is over 100 years old, and has wonderfully soft patina, and shows some wear. Truely charming
A fine antique Chinese child's collar with stitch work and fine knitting on the edge. The shawl collar is decorated with auspicious motifs of bats, butterflies, geese, and flowers. The collar is often seen in Chinese fashion during the Qing Dynasty where women wore the collars during formal or auspicious occasions. Age: Qing-Republic Period Size: length 18.5" height 16"
